“Excellent service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

Very nice hotel. Staff were extremely helpful. The shuttle driver took me to my convention twice a day. The front staff made arrangements for a limo service to take me back to Love Field. Dining staff worked with me to develop a vegetarian plate.

Room was very large, included a refrigerator and microwave. Hotel very quiet except for fan in bathroom. Earplugs solved that problem.

Would stay there again!

“Had to change my room 4 times”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

I have stayed at this hotel earlier this year in route to Oklahoma--it was marginal. This time we had 2 sets of reservations at this hotel--the first night we arrived it was late and we got rooms that were okay. The biggest issue that night was getting out of the lobby as quick as possible because the bar was filled and the door was open and the lobby was just filled with smoke. When we arrived for our second stay, the room they gave us was badly warn and smelled like stale smoke. The toilet seat did not even have all the bumpers on it so it was unbalanced. The "sleep number bed" they based their advertising on was no where to be found. When we asked for another room, I was told that there was only one person at the desk and she would need to get help from a coworker to check the room before they gave it to us. We went to dinner and came back. We got a new room key and lugged our luggage to the new room. It had a full size bed. I went back to the desk to find our friends asking for a new room because water was dripping down the walls and high-hat lights in their room. I got a new key for a king size room. Lugged the luggage there to find it was a smelly smoking room. Once again I went back to the desk. They finally "upgraded" us to a business room. It was clean and comfortable. I have to say the staff was extremely accommodating and tried to make things right. The hotel is a nice hotel in a good location, but really needs to be renovated.

“Average Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

Business conference held here December 7th - 9th. Easy access from IH 35. Lobby and atrium were stunning. However once you get past this area it's all average. Rooms dated but well kept. AC and heating unit extremely noisy which made watching television difficult. You had to have the volume up to hear over the noise from the unit. The hotel staff, however, were very pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant staff were also extremely courteous and accommodating and the food was good; not overpriced. Very limited restaurants nearby but several within 3 - 5 mile radius. Overall a good stay but would not be my first choice. Wired internet service did not work.

“Friendly staff”

My husband and I spent two days at this Radisson. Everything about it made us smile.

Room Tip: The hotel shuttle was an added benefit as we were not familiar with the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. -C...

“Overall - Average”

I stayed at the Radisson Hotel Fossil Creek from September 29-October 1 for a business class that was in the facility. The location is easy to access from Hwy 35, but the construction in the area is a nightmare. There are a few restaurant choices close by - Cracker Barrell and McDonalds within walking distance, and many more up the highway a bit. I would go anywhere else to eat besides eating at the hotel. Check in was a breeze. The long haul to the room - 333, was not such a breeze. The hallways to the rooms are long and the floor is uneven. There is only 1 set of elevators for 6 floors, so there is usually a wait for several minutes. The room itself was clean and spacious with a large flat screen TV. Simple decor and plenty of lamps for light, which is nice. The air conditioning unit on the wall/floor was unexpected. I would have anticipated central air. The a/c unit was loud and obnoxious all night. I even turned the fan to low and dealt with it being warm to not have to listen to it. The bathroom was spacious and there were plenty of towels. The toilet was less than ideal. In an attempt to be "green" they have significantly reduced the water usage, so you have to flush twice for number 1. Or hold the handle down for an extended period. The bed was a king sleep number with very soft sheets and a down comforter. There were 5 pillows, including 2 shams. Very comfortable. The meeting rooms were nice, but there was a significant fly problem. The restaurant - Main Cafe - was less than desirable. The prices are pretty high for what you get. I ordered a southwest salad with Chicken for $12 the first night that was okay. Edible. The next night I ordered a chicken pesto pasta and it was hardly edible for $16. They used WAY too much garlic and I tasted it for 2 days. The staff at check in and in the restaurant were friendly. It did seem like there were several people in training because they had to wait for someone to confirm what they were doing was correct. I would recommend this for one night if you have to stay here, but I would not stay here again.

Room Tip: Either side of the hotel has a view of the highway, so it doesn't really matter which side you c...
