My wife and I stayed here to attend a Labor Day weekend barbecue and new-house-warming party nearby that friends were giving for family and guests from all over Texas. We arrived about 10:30 am, knowing we were much to early to expect a rooom to be available, but the front desk person requested the housekeeping staff to clean our reserved room immediaately. We had reserved a handicap accessible king room. It was very clean and well-maintained, smelled nice. The room was large and the bathroom was very spacious. Linens and towels were newish, not frayed or thin. Everything functioned fine. Well, except the wireless laptop access... our signal at the backend of the hotel was just a little too weak to latch onto. The grounds and pool were well-kept. There was a complimentary breakfast that we didn't take, but what I saw of it passing by seemed to be adequate. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Our biggest compliment goes to the manager. When we arrived back home there was a message on our voice mail from her that we had left some badly needed (and expensive) medicine in the bathroom. She volunteered to send it by mail the following morning. We travel a lot, and stay at many suburban chain franchises to save money. It's rare that we encounter management in those that will extend themselves like this one did.
