Do not stay at this hotel, I wish I would've slept in my truck than stay at this hotel. The lobby was somewhat clean, when I got to my room, it was a stale stench of smoke, keep in mind I stayed in a non smoking room. The carpet was disgusting, everything about this place was nasty.i maid was smoking outside my room,and there was a used condom in the hallway. After I checked out and made it to south padre island, I noticed a $100 charge from the comfort inn. They tried to tell me I smoked in the room, only thing is I DONT smoke. I called the front desk, the manager wasn't in, so I left my name and number with Anna. 3 days pass and no return call. So I called again and they gave me the managers number,Kamaldeep Gil. I called him and advised him of the charges... He has NO customer service skills, shows no empathy towards problem,he over talked me and even cussed me out on the phone. This situation has NOT Been resolved! I've contacted corporate about this issue as well. This place is a dump and is going under they will rape you of any extra fees they can place on your credit card.

I stayed here...about 3 years ago. At the time it was acceptable. NOT NOW! The room was dirty and stinky. :O( I called around to other hotels and left this one...ASAP. Could not even bring myself to stay there one night. Yucky!

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The people who work there are very rude. I had to ask several times for someone to plung the toilet and was told I had to do it myself because there was no maintence person on site. I was told not to put toilet tissue in the toilet but there was not a bathroom wastebasket. They acted as if it was my fault that there plumbing is awful. The pool was full of bugs we asked for the net to remove some of the bugs because our 3 kids wanted to swim and they told us they would take care of it but they didn't. One girl who worked the frount desk at night actually rolled her eyes when we came in the door after a day at the beach as if to say oh no not these people agian. I Had to get my room key reactivated every time I wanted in my room and on one occasion I stood at the frount desk and heard the girl that was supposed to be working the desk on a personal phone call, She told whomever she was speaking with that they needed to hold on so she could take care of SOME lady that needed her. When she finally acknowledged me she asked me what I needed I told her that card was not working agian and she said "Well if you would not put it near your cell phone it would work" I told her that I did not have my cell phone with me all day and that the card was not near a cell phone. She said Oh well here is your card and went back to her personal call. Do not stay here I have a call into the main comfort inn office and they are not pleased either.

I stayed here during Mexico's labor day long weekend and it seemed that all McAllen hotels were occupied... until finally we asked at another Comfort Inn and they kindly take us here. I am used to the Holiday Inn because they gave a nice discount so honestly I was a little disappointed at first because of the rates and because the hotel is not located on the highway or on the stores area, but the moment I entered the facilities, my perception changed. The Hotel is very cozy and comfortable, staff was attentive to all our needs, although there was only one person in charge of the front desk, so check in/out were a bit long. What I liked the most was the suites, they are big, clean, with a couple of sofas... the bed is awesome!,,, soft but firm, great pillows, very comfortable for a great rest after walking all day, maybe the room is a little dark because of the huge size.They offer a good complimentary small breakfast. Free parking. The Hotel is very close to the road to the Mercedes outlet and to south Isla del Padre. Great Hotel! Good value! I just wish it were closer to the 83.
