The worst check-in experience & largely due to a manager who wasn't even on the premises, & failed to exercise any professionalism, respect, or any customer service skills. He left the hotel to 1 employee to handle the check-in, take care of problems, answer calls, etc. - and she was not able to think on her feet, which can be attributed to either lack of training, lack of authority, or lack of common sense....Since she was unable to help us with our reservation, we asked to speak to Kamaldeep Gil, the "supposed" mgr. who proclaimed on the phone that he has several others properties he manages. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, & to come up with a solution to the very minor problem in the room reservations, this mgr. was arrogant, & says that if we weren't happy, to go to another hotel !....We were dumbfounded at his unprofessional response. He continued on with his explanation as to why our reserved room was not available, but all we really wanted to know was how he was going to rectify the situation - SINCE THE HOTEL HAD PLENTY OF VACANT ROOMS ! We left, & then they tried to blame the problem on choicehotels !
Unless this mgr shows more empathy to the customers' needs, and undergoes proper management training, stay away from this hotel, & go to the Best Western down the road, or even the Super 8. Kamaldeep Gil was arrogant, unsympathetic, rude & extremely unprofessional. He also needs to learn to listen FIRST.
(Note: we did have a friend stay at this hotel for 1 night, & they said that their hotel room, while large, was stuffy & had a stale smell. They had to get their own sheets because there was only 1 employee at the desk; the exercise room equipment was all in disrepair, and the bath tub plug was not working - unusual, as this was only suppose to be a few years old.)
