Durin our visit to the Casino we entered a slot tournament where both my wife and I were partners. We managed to score #4 with our score and were awarded $100.00 each to our players card. I need to give a big thank you to Josue Narvaiz who was handling the event. He performed so well urging on all the contestants and keeping everyone abreast of scoring during the actual play, He was super and deserves all the credit towards keeping contestants motivated to score higher. (Thanks Josue! Hope to see you soon when the tournaments start again in two months). If you have never visited Lucky Eagle you owe it to yourself the good times are there to be had,. We also were fortunate to have our photos taken with the Spurs Championship Larry Obrien trophy. We were there for several days and used our points on room discounts, they also offer military discounts so check in at the front desk and players club for your free play.

Room tip: 2nd floor has exercise room and business room with computer. All of the rooms are great but they are pretty diligent about check out at 11.00 am time.

Stayed on Sept 16th 2014. Room was spacious , had all handi-cap rails and roll in shower. Check-in was very easy and staff was very nice and helpful. Stayed 8 months ago on first floor and this time was on second floor. No reason why rooms are at the end of the hallways, the furtherest from the elevators. Best have a wheel chair,it is a long walk to the rooms. Worst part was the black mold I found in the ice bucket, along with the water in the bucket under the NEW unused plastic liner. Late evening dining is very very limited. After 1100 o-clock there is ONE choice and it was not good. Casino is two parts. Old is very tight in a power chair, new is roomy, did not find the smokers to be abundant ( this was a Tuesday-Wednesday) and smell was not as bad as before. Had no luck on the machines, much better at Windstar or Choctaw.

Well my friend enjoyed it so much we went back three days later and stayed the night. Lovely clean rooms.....no problems at all.
Tried the Mesquite for dinner. Food OK but so short handed that the hostess also was our waitress and ended up cooking my sandwich! Wasn't her fault but 30 minutes for a grilled cheese when there were only three full tables is not right.
The Winners Sports Bar again was the best for the money. Gaming fun but lost a bit this time.
Will be back.

Thank you for your kind words. We are thrilled to receive your review. You actually had the pleasure of meeting our new Executive Chef Monica! She is so dedicated to Mezquite's success that she will, when the need arises, actually serve tables (as well as cook)!

I have already shared your observations with my team as we look forward to taking care of you again in the near future.

Stayed at his hotel on August 15, 2014. The hotel is clean and very nice. The ladies at the counter were professional and made us feel welcome. Our room was immaculate and on the 3rd floor. It was spacious with modern furntiture and included a mini-refrigerator. The convenience of staying at the casino hotel and not having to drive is worth the extra money.

Room tip: Our room was on the 3rd floor and super nice. Not much of a view but I wasn't there to look at the landscape.

My mom and i were very impressed with this hotel. The room was huge. The beds were big and comfortable. Everything was clean and looked new. The view was of the roof, but there is not much to see in Eagle Pass anyway, so we didnt mind. We didn't win big at the casino, but we never really do. They had a night club that played really good music. I read that there was wi-fi in the rooms, but when i tried to connect, i guess i needed a code. I didn't bother with the wi-fi. For some reason, my cell phone worked faster and better than it ever has. I didnt need the wi-fi. The cigarette smoke in the casino can get to me at times and I have to stand outside to get some fresh air. I hope there will be a non-smoking section coming soon. But for the most part, we had fun and will definitely be coming back and bring family/friends.

Room tip: We were on the 2nd floor. It was pretty quiet. The a/c can get pretty cold but the blankets are thick.
