This La Quinta was soo clean. All the furniture looked new. There was no "hotel smell". The desk person was nice. The free internet was great. The continental breakfast was healthy-not just muffins and juice. There was a waffle station. The breakfast included cereal, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, muffins, juice, milk, coffee, fruit, kolaches. It is next to interstate 75 so there is freeway noise but nothing that would disturb your sleep and nothing that earplugs couldn't block out. It is less than 10 minutes from a shopping mall (Dillards, Macys, Nordstroms) and a variety of restaurants for all price ranges. I would highly recommend this La Quinta.

This was the second time that we have been to this hotel in the past 12 months. The hotel is located very close to Malls, SMU and the major N-S freeway.

During the time that we were there the hotel was inundated by "Ike" refugees (and their dogs) from Houston. The staff was contiually being challenged by balancing the needs of those who had no idea as to when they would be leaving and those of us on more specific plans. The staff was very courteous, the WIFI worked great and the rooms were clean.

Fine service (friendly and helpful), internet, free breakfast, rooms, pool, and hot tub. Very convenient location. But some extremely annoying frustrations. Card keys constantly stopped working. Had to get new keys 5 times in a 2 night stay. Only 1 very slow elevator for a 7 story hotel (many people give up and use stairs). Fitness center: single recumbent exercise cycle falling apart, with constant shorting out and resetting. Rooms with 2 beds are only full size (not queen), which is very cramped for two people.

I travel to Dallas occasionally on business, but usually stay at more expensive properties. However, I was only in town for one night this time and needed a quick in-out, centrally located hotel.
In my opinion, this LaQuinta is a great value. Yes, you get what you pay for---the bed could have been a little more firm and there could have been a few more pillows. But what really made the difference for me was attitude. You should expect the front desk to be friendly and accommodating, but everyone from the breakfast attendant to housekeeping (!) went out of their way to be friendly and hospitable. If you stay anywhere at all in any property, you will realize how rare and valuable that is these days.
Bottom line: good location, great service. I'm coming back and recommending it to friends.
