I am from Dallas, but I stayed at this hotel for New Years Eve so that I wouldn't have to worry about driving home after a night out. When I checked in, I was placed on a floor that appeared to be under construction (the floors had plastic wrap on them in the hallway). This was supposed to be a special night out so I was surprised to see the construction. BUT, it wasn't too big of a deal so I let it go.

Afterwards, we came home early morning to find that the elevators were broken. The firemen and police had surrounded the lobby. Long story short, we were forced to walk up 19 flights of stairs because our room was on the 19th floor. Keep in mind, we were in no condition to to be walking up 19 flights of staircase, especially in a nice dress and heels. Half way through, I took my heels off. The next morning I woke up with blisters on my feet. I know it wasn't the heels creating blisters because I wear them all the time, and have never had blisters from them. I am not one to complain but when I went to the front desk to get a lower discount, they took a measly $15 off my rate... My rate was originally $129. So I still had to spend over $100 for an awful stay. I thought it would have been fair to make my rate an even $100 but according the the FRONT DESK MANAGER - MANNY, that's all that they can do for me. This was a SLAP IN THE FACE. It's obvious that they truly DON'T CARE about their guests.

For the price, we were happy with the room, but the bathroom needed work: 1. The toilet sealer cap needed to be replaced...we could hear the water running on and off all night. 2. The tub needed to be redone....it felt like it was re-glazed but they left a rough surface on the bottom of the tub....which makes it uncomfortable for a toddler's behind when taking a bath. 3. The shower walls had mold in the grout....time to re-tile. 4. The shower head was cranked so tight you couldn't adjust it and it had a leak that sprayed all over the bathroom if you didn't put a wash cloth over it.

Front desk was polite and the only reason why we checked out, was to inform them of all the needed repairs. We didn't expect anything in return, but they did offer a free breakfast, but we had eaten already. They didn't offer anything at this point.

Hotel is pet friendly, but they charge $25, so we had our dog sleep in the covered parking garage.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. I enjoyed it.
The parking is very tight and the logistics of the hotel are different; however, the room service was good and staff were very friendly.

Stayed here the weekend on the White Rock Lake Marathon. It was $160 for 2 night/2 people. It's a nice hotel, OK area ( sits next to large bus stop and Dart system) and easy access to the Amtrak/Union station, walkable distance. There is a free shuttle provided any place within a 3 mile radius. However, the driver was unprofessional in dropping hints for a tip!

Our room was small:no bathroom ventilation, dark stains on both the bed sham and skirt. The hotel is not environmentally friendly, no recycling measures in place, despite 20 floors and a club/restaurant on site? This is the 21st century and "green times"! That really irked me and would affect my staying there again!

Upon check in I was not provided an overview of amenities, like the fitness center being on the 9th floor. However, we were provided a microwave/fridge upon request.
