room wasn't bad, staff very unfriendly and acted like you were bothering them. Great outside area near pool; sketchy area and hotel has a gate with fence all around the property- that tells you something... located right in front of a giant strip club (saw some men peeking through fence slats to get a view from our hotel parking lot!).

Stayed here in May and thought maybe their problems might be solved by June. NOPE! We went by to check in , our keys did not work and we were checked out in 17 mins after going to the front for new key cards 3 times. What were we thinking going back for a 2nd stay??? Price was good -$80 I think.

DO NOT STAY HERE unless you are a bunch of guys looking for a place to stay and party after work! This should NOT be a Marriott property- it has to be a franchise..

room appeared updated, slider doors nasty, beds were horrible- not new!. spa was broken in May still broken a month later in June

Picked this up bidding priceline.com $30 worth about that.Nice enough good beds
food nearby.Staff indifferent breakfast expensive but good food within walking distance
although neighborhood was dodgy.Everything except the bed seemed VERY old.OK for an overnite stop but needs much work to be once again ready for prime time.

We usually love Courtyard but stay away from this Hotel. First off it is located in a bad neighborhood. Dallas police had a reader board warning of bait cars in the area. We arrived to the sound of a car alarm. Turns out the truck belonged to a worker that was renovating the lobby and he was gone for the weekend. The staff was kind enough to relocate us to the other side of the hotel. Then in the middle of the night there were several young people running the halls, yelling and slamming doors. The desk clerk could not figure out how to use a gift card as partial payment.

Marriotts are usually pretty nice. This one was under construction in the lobby, which is OK in itself, because the staff was courteous and got the job done. However, I am a Marriott rewards customer and my basic requests are recorded in the system. I always request a room on higher floors and away from outside doors and elevators, always request extra pillows and towels. None of those requests were met. we were put on a corner spot on the lowest level. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and there's a "Gentleman's Club" directly behind the hotel that plays VERY loud music until all hours of the night, and you can also hear people yelling and making a lot of noise. It's right next door to a liquor store and is not in a very good part of town. The breakfast wasn't anything but bagels, muffins and cold cereal, usually they have hot breakfasts.

Even though we paid in advance, we almost surrendered the room on the 2nd night and stayed with relatives. I think a Motel 6 would have been just as comfortable, or even more comfortable and a lot better price.
