“A great Inn in a great location”

I have stayed at Bailey's Inn at least 20 times in the past two years and have been remiss in not writing reviews. My repeat visits are a testament to how much I enjoy staying at Bailey's. I very much like the ambiance. The living room is light and comfortable with a piano and multiple seating areas with tables. The kitchen is accessible for keeping one's own snacks and beverages. My schedule does not allow me to enjoy the Breakfast as I leave by 7 a.m., but I can make coffee in a REAL coffee maker. I have stayed in all the rooms--each is unique and nicely appointed. I shall continue to return to Baileys and have no reservations in recommending it to other business travelers who want to avoid the hustle and bustle of hotels. The Uptown area is No. 1 in my books for convenience to thorofares, museums, quality dining.

“Great place for a girl's trip!”

Three friends and I recently stayed at Bailey's Inn. We visited the Fairgrounds and the Dallas Arboretum Pumpkin Festival and this was easy to get to on city streets as opposed to the busy Dallas highways. The Inn was wonderful! We stayed in the Gold and the Green rooms. The Green room is huge and has 2 queen beds and a balcony. The Gold room has a king bed that divided into two twins. We sat in the living room in the evening with our wine and talked into the wee hours and were very comfortable. Andrea suggested nearby restaurants for dinner and for breakfast in the morning since we didn't pay the $10.00 extra for breakfast and those restaurants were terrific! She did set up the coffee maker so all we had to do was turn it on when we got up. We LOVED this Inn and will definitely be back. The only problem is that it's a little pricey, but no worse than a downtown hotel which would charge a lot extra for parking-the Inn has a garage for free parking . And a downtown hotel would have lots of traffic. This was an easy drive and hardly any cars driving past as we walked the neighborhood in the evening. The neighborhood is great-near the free trolley and many restaurants.

“Great Find in Dallas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2010

This was a wonderful find, we were in town for a major conference and all the main hotels had sold out. That really worked out for us, as the location was much better than any of the hotels. There are many cafes and bars in the area, we brought our clients to the neighborhood, rather than hit their hotel bars and eateries. The rooms were nice, each different; the mother/daughter combo that own and run the Inn are very nice and extremely helpful without being intrusive. If you’re tired of the same old same old and traveling to Dallas for work or fun, Bailey’s Uptown Inn is a terrific choice.

“We will be back”

We stayed at Bailey's when we visited our kids that live just down the street. The rooms are spacious and elegant. We have stayed at other hotels in Uptown, but Bailey's is the best bargain and much nicer. The beds are really comfortable. We loved the blueberry crumble coffee cake! We didn't see the host until breakfast, but that's better for us. I am reluctant to stay in bed and breakfasts but Bailey's was a nice mix. It was still more like home than a hotel, but I don't like to spend a long time visiting with the innkeeper.

I stay at Bailey's whenever I come to town & I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Not only is it convenient to everywhere I need to be, but I feel so comfortable there. The innkeeper makes it feel as if Bailey's is my home, I can just relax & enjoy my time away. The breakfast was fantastic & the innkeeper so friendly & helpful. I love it there!! Annette
