At $62 a night this represents a great value! I really liked the fact that we had a non-smoking king room (bed was just OK comfortwise), micro-frig, microwave, coffeemaker, free wireless (albeit a bit slow), continental breakfast (complete with waffles and eggs), fitness center (basic cardio machines only) and free parking. If you looked real close this property is starting to show its age but still represents a great value. Close by to CVS, Subway, Starbucks and Quiznos (easy walking distance) and close by to other major hotels (I attended a confereence at the Westin Central and it is within walking distance. Staff is friendly enough (some more so than others) Has an outdoor pool and hot tub but the hot tub was not working when we stayed for our week stay.

This La Quinta was perfectly acceptable at a VERY nice price. It was in an easy to navigate area. I get lost in a paper bag but was able to find my way around easily. Room was clean, nice lobby and the outside pool looked inviting, especially in Dallas in August. What I REALLY appreciated was staff's ability to change my internet reservation on the spot. When I made the reservation online I thought it would just be me so I reserved 1 king size bed. Well the stars were aligned and my 2 teenagers were able to come with me at the last minute. When we checked in and the desk clerk reminded me of my room selection I asked if there was any way I could get 2 beds. No problem. I had to pay $20 more but since I started at $55.00 that wasn't really a problem. I tried to do something similar at another hotel chain and they wouldn't do a thing because the reservation had made been online. This was the first La Quinta I had stayed at in a long time. Due to the acceptable environment, liberal cancellation policy, nice price and their ability to adapt to my life they've made a friend in me.

I don't know if it was the location or a quality of Dallas. But the area looked more like an industrial zone. But it had its share CVS' and burger joints nearby....so you have access to all your basic amenities..even at night.

Rooms were clean, spacious...pretty too. Decent service. Had to wait at the counter for someone who could attend to us, almost every time we were at the counter!

I came here in March and again in May for different reasons and was very pleased both times. The basic room was a steal at $53 a night on the AAA rate. The king suite, which is HUGE (with a bedroom and a sitting room and a TV in each, plus your own balcony) was an even better deal at $71 AAA pricing. Free wifi which worked great and tech support was very helpful and friendly. Beds are super comfy.

The pool is nice though unheated. The jacuzzi could be a little more vigorous but is warm enough anyway. Business center is available to print your boarding pass. Fitness center was adequate with machines in good repair. The LQ free breakfast is always nice (though it ends at 9am most days). Great bonus is the early (1pm) check-in and relatively late check-out (noon, but they also have this nice feature where you can extend your checkout to 6pm for just $30 extra). This is a pet-friendly property as well. The parking is free and ample.

There's no room service or restaurant onsite, though they do have menus for a variety of local joints that deliver. None of them go past 11pm though and most stop at 9 or 9:30, so make sure you plan ahead. There is a fridge and micro in every room, however, and both worked just fine. There is a Texaco station a little ways down Coit Rd. that sells beer and wine, and across the street from that is a Mexican supermarket (I think it was called Fiestas?) Property is within a very short walking distance to a CVS Pharmacy, Subway and Quiznos.

Easy freeway access to the I-635 and the 75 and about a twenty minute drive from DFW Airport. As always, La Quinta comes through with a good hotel at a great price!
