Ive stayed at the Palomar in Dallas and DC. Both hotels offer excellent service, and top notch accommodations. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. The Kimpton chain rocks.

Beautiful outdoor pool, whirlpool & sundeck, well equipped fitness centre, outstanding staff and clean, comfortable rooms make this hotel great value for the price. (Seriously, the concierges are amazing.) You're right across the street from light rail, two blocks away from a supermarket and an easy drive to downtown.

The small thorn to an otherwise supremely perfect stay is that the hotel is beside a freeway, which you will hear at night if your room faces the freeway. (I think odd-numbered rooms 1-15 on each floor face the freeway; and as far as hotels beside freeways, the noise isn't that bad - sort of a white noise.) Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper or ask for a pair at the front desk.

Self-park is $10 a day; consider parking in the alley or one of the side streets behind the hotel if you don't want to pay for parking.

My husband and I spent the week between Christmas and New Year's. The staff are all top notch...friendly, accommodating , and polite. Gotta love that Southern hospitality! Our suite was immaculate everyday. Definitely not the stereotype hotel food; and we had a lot of fun with the bartenders. Valets were right on top of their job, and even ran us to a local restaurant one night in the Palomar Lexus SUV. My husband and i are seasoned travelers...some good experiences, and some not so good. These guys have their act together. Won't even look to stay elsewhere next trip to Dallas. Congrats to the management and staff of Hotel Palomar Dallas. Hope to see y'all soon!

I have stayed at the Hotel Palomar Dallas hotel several times over the last six months and highly recommend it to anyone staying in the Dallas area. The personnel is wonderful, the valets great, and the rooms are clean and fresh. I love the restaurant and although I have not spent much time in the pool due to weather, there are plenty of places to find to get work or meetings done. They have a great wine hour in the evening and the best organic coffee - if you are lucky enough to stay during the holidays - you even get more treats.

Cannot say enough good things about this hotel - I look forward to every trip to Dallas.
