“Fantastic hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

I stayed here for one night the week of 11/14/11. I wish I was staying longer. I got really lucky the night I checked in. There was a corporate meeting being held at the hotel and they needed my room. I was upgraded to one of the Magnificent Seven rooms, the #1 (Leonardo). Needless to say, this was the biggest hotel room I ever stayed in. It was 1300 sq ft! Full kitchen, dining room table for 10, balcony, walk in closet…unbelievable! Everyone was so nice here, I wish I had stayed longer in that wonderful room. The next time I’m in Dallas, I’m staying here.

“Fantastic stay in the most beautiful and original setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

This is a very special hotel. Very exclusive but cozy at the same time. The design of everything – rooms, lobby, entrance, even our meeting room was so extraordinary original and beautiful that staying here made extreme pleasure. You feel luxury and attention to detail in everything, yet without any arrogance.

Food was great and beautifully presented. Pictures hanging in the restaurant make very upscale and warm atmosphere that it feels good to start a day with a breakfast there.

Entrance to hotel is small but very luxurious. Room decorated amazingly, apparently with every detail taken care of, including inside the bathroom.

Reception: fast, efficient, helpful and extremely friendly and with sense of humor.

Location not bad as it is very close to a great shopping center.

This is probably one of the most beautiful hotels I ever stayed. I did not want to leave it.

I was here on business. This is really not the place to stay for business (because you are distracted by the beauty of the hotel and its interiors), better to come to relax with your spouse/partner.

WOW! High praise indeed! Your words are extremely flattering, thank you very much. I especially love the "...I did not want to leave", part! I have goose bumps! That is the ultimate compliment we can receive in the hospitality industry. Woo hoo!!!!

“Great With The Gimmicks But Service Basics Lacking”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2011

Great Uptown location, comfortable guest room. perfect hotel breakfast, but the hotel basics don't exist.

Asked the front desk where I could grab a quick cup of coffee other than Starbucks and not in the hotel and received confused blank stares... then response: "I think there is a Starbucks across the street."

Asked how far a specific hotel was from the Zaza... Doorman: "five blocks." Front desk: "A few miles." (Doorman was correct)

Called the front desk to ask how to use the A/C in the room. Was told "I will send engineering right up." I replied that might not be anything wrong, but was clear that front desk unfamiliar with how to use the controls.

Internet in my room never worked during my entire stay. Had no feeling of confidence it was being addressed and followed up.

Clock in guest room was not set close to correct time.

Hotel told me that swimming pool open year round. When I arrived was told pool closed for the season because it is not heated.

Front desk at check in; constant phone interruptions and interruptions by other desk clerks. Guest checking in should be given some attention, no mention of spa or any other hotel services.

When I called valet for my car; rang to front desk. Was told to call valet; I explained I did call valut and call transferred to front desk. Was told "I will try to find someone at valet." Rather than I will retrieve your car.

Too bad the basics are not being addressed at ZaZa Dallas.

Steven!

Thanks for the detailed review! We will use your review as bulletin board material to get better and in a hurry. We don't want to be accused of resting on our laurels and after reading your comments we need to work extra hard on the consistency of the details.

Thanks again, Steven!

“Hotel Zaza - Gives that Fun, Sophisticated Feel to a Weekend Destination”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

Hotel Zaza in Dallas is comfortable yet chic. We love the boutique hotel if the amenities are there. ZaZa pulls this off better than others. The hotel rooms are very comfortable and plush, the Dragonfly restaurant is delicious, and the pool area is very intimate and fun. A great place to have a drink and have a romantic night or evening out with friends. This hotel is a real hotspot on special occasion nights. We have stayed in the Red Shoes suite, and it was amazing. I could have lived there permanently. :) The standard rooms are great too, just smaller but great sized.

One Christmas Eve, we met our Houston family there and had Christmas dinner in the private dining room at ZaZa. It was a very memorable night with great food and wine.

Room Tip: If you want a good night's sleep, find out if there is live music at the pool and stay in a room...

Ms. D from OKC!

Great review! Thanks! We love it when the details that we work so hard to execute consistently are recognized by our guests! Especially repeat guests such as you! Thanks for the great adjectives, "comfortable yet chic"...perfect description of how we want to be percieved...one of your best friends but the one with the nicest shoes!

Hope to see you back soon!

“very niiice....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

snazzy hotel with well appointed rooms. Knowledgeable and helpful staff was able to guide us to some nice restaurants and provide us with shuttle service in the 'horned' caddy suv. I got in early to Dallas and was able to do an early checkin at 9:30am, thank you!

Now "Snazzy" is a word I have not heard in quite some time but I love it! I will use this word all day in homage to your great review! We appreciate you paying attention to our little things that make Stay ZaZa our mantra. The horned Denali for our shuttle service and our attention to detail...certainly appreciate your kind words!

Snazzily yours!
