“Overall Good Stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2011

Well after booking this hotel I found the reviews and thought I would have an awful WEEK here. To the contrary, there were a few stragglers in the area and possibly a prostitute making her pay on night. The room was spacious and clean, dated....yes, good shower, kitchen helped a lot. I heard no more noise than I have in other motels. Bottom line is for the price I think it was a great stay and will stay again.

Oh, the one bad thing i found, bring your own pillow, there’s flat!

“Worst Management Ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2011

I had to stay at an extended stay hotel for my out-of-state move to Dallas, during the time it took for them to get my new apartment ready. Of course, being an obsessive dog-mom to a sweet, spoiled pit mix girl, I had to not only find someplace that was dog friendly but also "breed friendly".

I called Suburban Extended Stay and had a great customer service rep who booked my room and assured me the dog would be no problem. He even offered me a discount. I got to the place after a 2 day drive and it was just OK -- kind of what you would expect for an extended stay -- but after a few nights my thoughts on the place plummeted:

- It smells like weed in the hallways nightly but no one from management says anything about it. There are beer cans everywhere.
- That being said, the clientele is trash, which I'm sure factors into my bullets not only above but also below.
- The men who stay here are widely blue-collar, which is completely fine, but for some reason they are creepy and will blatantly stare and say things to you with no regard (I was happy my pup is part pit, to say the least). Maybe because there are at least 10 "gentlemen's clubs" within a 1-block radius?
- The management is horrendous. Some loud, horrible, low-rent woman who does not care about the customer at all.
- It is, in fact, not dog friendly at all. The maintenance came in my room without warning while I was at work, and because the dog was barking in her crate the neighbors complained. And because the neighbors complained the manager (mentioned above, horrible) called and yelled at me, and then continued to complain to me every time she saw me in person. Not only is this horrible customer service, but complete BS in any given social setting, how dumb can you be?! I didn't think my sweet little girl was safe being in her crate by herself the rest of the time and had to pay for dog daycare. Absolutely unacceptable.
- IT IS NOT SAFE. what people say about the doors always being open is true. And, as alluded to, it's on a horrible side of town.
- IT IS NOT CLEAN. Enough said.
- THE HOTEL IS NOT HONEST. I never got the discount I was promised. When checking out, the front desk worker played dumb even though I gave him my confirmation number and the name of the customer service rep who helped me. Ridiculous!
- The washers and dryers eat your money then don't work. And the manager (like I've said, horrible) blames the company that owns them and takes no responsibility.
- IT IS NOT NICE. Run away. Don't stay here. If you have a dog, might as well board them for the price of daycare and stay someplace where you're not scared of being robbed, mugged, raped or contracting a disease from the disgusting surroundings.

“If you are a person who values life you...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 June 2010 via mobile

If you are a person who values life you will pay a few extra dollars for a different hotel. Outside doors remain unlocked for anybody to walk in. First walked in to 2 homeless men in the lobby. 1st rooms tv didn't work, 2nd room key didn't work cuz it was a storage room... not a guest room, 3rd room was HOT and had no remote. I was not about to request yet another room. After going back twice I noticed a sign that read no refunds. Ha, I wonder why. The amenities are very worn, stains on sheets, bed has dip in center from being so old, fridge made loud sound do to fan, door had dents and appeared to have chain replaced from somebody kicking it in, the elevator looked like it had 2 bullet holes. Its next to what appears to be a bad bar if you know what I mean. I made the mistake of being stuck here, I travel all the time for work and in 3 years this is by far the worst I've ever seen. Make the smart choice and don't stay here.

“Worst stay in a lifetime!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 May 2010

This is a ghetto hotel. I have not had sleep since the AC was not cooling at all and it is MAY. I slept in 100 degrees room with the AC on the coolest temperature and it was still 100 degrees.. I cannot describe in any words but to say that anyone who reads my experience learns from it. They do not even have a phone in the hotel room. They are saving money on providing accommodations for their customers. They do even have a remote for the TV. Can you believe how these guys treat their customers? READ THIS AND NEVER COME HERE AFTER YOU READ MY MESSAGE!!!
