My husband & I spent Sun. eve. as an "intown getaway" here. Mon. was the MLK holiday . This hotel is smaller than many Embassy Suites,, only 6 floors total. I really liked the smaller feeling. The rooms are the same size, with the usual amenities. We used the fitness room, it was really cold & I was glad I was wearing a sweatshirt. The cooked breakfast was great as usual. Since it was a Monday the breakfast ended at 9am (it is 10 on the weekend). They ran out of cream & milk for the coffee before 9am, & it was not refilled. Several guests came right at 9am, or a little after & the doors to the breakfast area were closed, so they could not get anything if they were late, no coffee or drink refills after that time either. However during the day this area is open. It would be nice if on a Monday holiday they served a later breakfast-this would be a great selling point for marketing specials! The desk staff is excellent, very friendly, & ready to ask about our stay or if we needed anything There are also two swans that live in the water area at this hotel, very relaxing.
