“Relaxing stay !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

For a hotel open less than two months when a large crowd of Houston Cougars arrived (after 25,000 Rave folks hit Dallas 2-3 days before), new staff did a good job - nice room, great view, easy check in/check out/valet service (although some UH folks waited for hours to get rooms due to the Rave crowd checking out so late).

Enjoyed luxurious bathrobes, comfy bed, plush linens, bathroom mirror TV (too much fun!), spacious bath tub/shower combo ! And their sports bar is over the top ! Blue Moon on draft! Plus outside fireside sitting is cozy too. Up on the roof pool/spa area is gorgeous ! Restaurants are within walking distance and easy to get to. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Our hall was quiet (near top of hotel) - just ask for rooms away from kids/teens.

“Very "Thoughtful" Well Designed Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

I was very impressed with he Omni Dallas Hotel. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to great restaurants. Some hotels try to be unique, modern, contemporary and wind up feeling like you just walked in an IKEA outlet store. The Omni Dallas sets the standard for other hotels strive to be: green, innovative, and truly customer focused. The rooms are large, have high ceilings, fashionable, neutral colors, and quiet (outside noise and air conditioning). They have great views of the city (floor to ceiling wall to wall windows). The bedding is excellent. The furniture is very thoughtful, great work, drawer and closet space. There are multiple mirrors, lights (4 lamps, 2 reading lights, lights under the mounted 48 inch flat screen TV, even under the furniture which motion activated. The bathroom is on the larger size and the shower is oversized (6 feet long). There is a TV in the bathroom mirror. Electricity in the room is activated by a room key. The 5th floor rooms have private balconies with tables, couches and chairs. The lobby, common areas, all restaurants compliment each other. The infinity pool is on the smaller size, however really nice and heated. The pool bar decor is consistent the rest of the hotel, very chic. The gym is very large with plenty of treadmills and nautilus equipment. Natural woods, stone, and fire are common elements throughout the hotel. As you enter the hotel there are multiple large torches. There is fire in the outside restaurant, fire in the lobby, by the pool and a fire pit on the way to the pool. I was really impressed with this hotel, at every turn. As the title reads, this is a very "Thoughtful" hotel.

Room Tip: High floors gave amazing views. 5th floor has private balconies, no views.

“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We stayed here for a convention. Rooms are very comfortable and we received wonderful service across the board. My only minor complaint is the lighting in the rooms - wished there were more lights when trying to get ready in the morning.

“One of the best hotels in Dallas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We stayed at the Omni Dallas (downtown location) this past weekend for my sister’s bachelorette party. We had checked in online so as soon as we walked up to the check in desk, we were presented our room key and on our way. The entire valet and check in process literally took about 45 seconds, it was wonderful.

When we arrived to our room, we had been given an odd room which meant that we had a GORGEOUS view of the buildings in downtown Dallas. The room still smells new and everything is so fresh and clean. I am one that refuses to take my shoes off in hotel rooms, but the plush rug in the bathroom was one of the most incredible things I have ever stepped on. It’s white so I’m almost certain they clean it in between each guest, but truly felt like you were walking on clouds.

The beds were the perfect amount of softness and the pillows were just as wonderful. Oh my goodness, the lights! When you first enter the room, you have to put your room key in a little slot in order to turn the lights on. When you leave and take your key with you, the lights turn out automatically after 30 seconds, it was really neat and a great way for the hotel to conserve energy. Also, when you have to get up at night when it is dark, there is a motion censored light underneath the night stand in between the two beds. This was one of the coolest features I’ve seen as it was just enough light to help me find my way, but not too much to wake someone else up. It is a genius idea that I hope many other hotels begin to implement.

The fitness room was state of the art and the roof top infinity pool was heated, which is very nice if you want to swim anywhere in Texas this time of year!

The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel was the price of parking. Valet is $25 a night (pretty standard) but self parking is $18 a night. We had 4 vehicles that we had to park for the evening and parking turned out to be more than what we paid for the room. I should have called before we arrived and maybe we could have carpooled, but unfortunately found out to late. Lesson learned, but wanted to at least warn others of the high parking prices.

Room Tip: Rooms with odd numbers have views of downtown Dallas.

Thank you very much for your great comments about the hotel. We appreciate you taking your time to let us know about your stay and we hope that whenever your travels bring you to Dallas, you will be able to join us again. In response to your comment about parking, we do ensure we look at the other downtown hotels to be sure we are priced appropriately. One of the only drawbacks to being in a great downtown area is that space is limited and there is typically a charge for parking. Thank you again and we will see you soon!

“ALA Midwinter Oasis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

Attended the ALA Mid Winter conference with 1,000s in Dallas on Jan. 20-23. Was fortunate to get reservations with our group at the NEW (opened 11-11-11) Omni Dallas. Huge treat that Hotel is attached to the Convention Center downtown Dallas. Awesome perks and upgrades if you ask. We were treated to Larry and the Hotel town car to run a quick errand (must be in a 2 mile radius) but Larry went out of his way to make sure we found what we needed for the conference booth @ Radio Shack. Also, as a member of Omni's Preferred Guest (freq stayer) membership was spoiled by the Preferred Guest Juice/Coffee/Paper delivery (gratis) in the AM. Fluffy Robes, GREAT 10th floor view of downtown skyline, amazing artwork, decor and cool features like lights on the floor when you got out of bed all totaled for a hard to beat Hotel experience, Staff was friendly and location ideal for short cab rides to other areas of town, e.g. Deep Ellum for nightlife and entertainment. Dinning choices abound at the hotel and tried 2 of 3 restaurants for every pocketbook and choice of beverage. Nothing like a Shiner Bock in warm evening temps outside by the fire-pit @ the awesome sports bar lounge. ALA was the largest crowd the Omni has seen since its opening. According to the local Dallas news over 10,000 attendees coming and going from the convention. I would recommend this hotel -and hope to return soon back to Dallas for fun (no work). ***** in my book.

Room Tip: Make sure you join the Omni Preferred Guest program before checking in. It makes the AM a beautiful...
