“Simply sublime”

This hotel is simply superb and their attention to detail and personal service is fantastic. My girl friend and I had gotten engaged the night before and I surprised her with dinner and the night here. There was a personalized note in our room, at dinner and our menus were personalized also. The decor is very romantic and the rooms are full of European antique furniture. A plate of fresh fruit and cheese was waiting for us in our room along with a complimentary glass of champagne.

I believe the Dallas Morning News gives the restaurant 4 or 4.5 stars and it is well worth it. The waiters wear white gloves while serving and the food is excellent. The next morning we asked that our breakfast be served in our room. Home made pastries and bread- yum!!

This small and unique hotel is perfect for romantic evenings and or special occasions.

My wife and I spent our wedding night at Hotel St. Germain. It was absolutely perfect! I cannot imagine a more beautiful room, romantic atmosphere and helpful staff. We are planning to dine and spend the night there again on our first anniversary. Highly recommended.

“Simply the best!”

I can't begin to say enough good things about this wonderful hotel. The staff is superb, elegant without being stuffy, and it is simply the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The personalized attention to detail was the best I've ever experienced, and I've stayed at other very nice hotels all over the world. Upon arrival to our room the first night, the butler brought us complimentary glasses of champagne.

The food was excellent. We had dinner in the restaurant 2 times, even though the menu didn't change! The room-service breakfasts were delicious, with fresh-baked rolls and pastries, a nice quiche, and fresh-cut fruit. We always had a snack of Brie cheese or something similar, along with crackers and fruit, waiting in our room in the afternoons, and that was always a welcome treat!

The only thing I could even think of to complain about is that the rooms aren't exactly soundproof, as you can sometimes hear the comings and goings of others in the hallway.

I'm hoping to get back to Dallas soon so I can stay there again!

“Dallas beautiful, famous, iconic boutique hotel...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 July 2005

It's really strange there are only two reviews on all of trip advisor of the St Germain in Dallas!!!

It is a small "Victorian" looking building, with only I think 6 of 7 glorious suites .. all furnished with fabulous, real French-American antiques.

Service is completely personal .. greeted at the front door by your butler or manager in a tuxedo and white gloves.

The St Germain (7 rooms, in an antique bldg) and the Crescent (skyscraper luxury hotel) are across the road from each other -- could there be a greater contrast?! You can review the St Germain fully on their web site, which is hotel st germain.

The St Germain is consistently voted one of the top hotels IN AMERICA, far less Dallas....it's a very special place.

(It's very sad to see the two fairly negative reviews below - odd!)

In Dalllas your choice is pretty much turtle creek, the crescent (if you like Big!) or St Germain.

The only time we've eaten at St Germain, the food was SPECTACULAR, and the restaurant group extremely formal (in contrast to report from fellow reviewer below??)

Anyway, the St Germain is everything you heard raved about -- unless it's slipped horribly and disastrously in the last year or something??

An incredible hotel, one of America's most special .. but strangely no reviews here!

“Spic Route Wine Tasting a Bust!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 July 2003

With eager anticipation we awaited the Hotel St Germain Spice Route Wine Tasting (Arabia/Afrika) on July 11, 2003. That for which were so excited turned into an utter disappointment. From the initial walk-up to the hotel (the facitlities are in dire need of a coat of paint!) to the lack of acknowledgement upon our departure, the evening was most unpleasant.

The execution of the buffet / wine tasting was reminiscent of a 1980s wine and cheese party. Lack of organization and professionalism ruled the evening. The food was mediocre at best, and the selection of wines quite average. Of course, the quintessential "Dallas nouveau riche", under-dressed crowd was in the majority (even though the reservation confirmation specified a "coat & tie" requirements).

What could have been a delightful evening was a total bust!
