When we checked in late on a Friday evening to join our relatives staying there for a wedding, we were told by the clerk who handled our check in,that our room rate was going to be reduced by $30 a night.
The reason for this was that our cousin had been "upgraded" to the room next to ours and therefore our room rate was going to be adjusted. We could not check out in our room, so we went to the desk, and because a car was waiting for us to go to the airport, we just took the statement without looking it over. When we got home we noticed that the rate was not reduced as advised. Our 3 calls and 2 emails went unanswered and we disputed the difference with our credit card company. However, the hotel will not stand behind this as the clerk did not put anything in writing. So anything you are promised by this hotel, should be in writing!! They do not honor their word.

The Adolphus is located near the center of Dallas in an area with a wide range of activities. The hotel has the charm and history of being near a century old, but with all of the modern amenities in the hotel rooms, exercise facilities and meeting rooms one might expect. The staff anticipated nearly every need and with minimal, if any interference. The food quality, preparation and presentations during our two days of meetings were impressive, healthful and very tasty. One of the best hotels around at extremely competitive rates. A must stay.

My stay at the Adolphus was a very pleasant one. Easy check-in. Polite staff. Beautiful lobby, steeped in history. The car service is a wonderful amenity. Easy walking distance to many sites and restaurants as well as the convention center. I can't say enough good things about my experience there.

I stayed at the Adolphus for 4 days. Every aspect of my stay was nothing short of ideal. Staff from check in to check out were helpful and courteous. It is a beautiful hotel in a great location. I can highly recommend the French Room restaurant which equaled my best Paris or NY dining experiences. I was on a discounted internet site rate and to some limited extent this made my stay even more enjoyable.
