As others have said, this is a mostly well run hotel. The staff are courteous, the lobby is pleasant, and the rooms are well appointed (especially the huge shower).
That said, I have had a couple meetings here over the past few months, and there have been three consistent lapses:
1) SHUTTLE. Both times, after landing at DAL, I phoned the hotel to request a shuttle pickup from terminal 1 (United/Delta). The operator checked on the shuttle location and promised a pickup "within 10 minutes." Before hanging up I confirmed terminal 1, since the vast majority of DAL's traffic is at Terminal 2 (Southwest). Both times, the shuttle cruised right by terminal 1 and continued to terminal 2 without picking us up. This last time I was so frustrated I ended up taking a $20 taxi for the five-minute ride to the hotel.
2) MEETING ROOM TEMPERATURE. During my meeting in March the room was so cold that people were bundling up and sipping hot tea. Despite several requests to the hotel staff, they did not adjust the temperature. On the other hand, during this most recent trip, the meeting room had almost no air circulation, making the room uncomfortably hot and stuffy. Again, even with three separate requests to the hotel staff, they could not fix the problem.
3) FOOD SERVICE. We had a catered dinner and the food was delicious. However, the hotel insisted we sit according to our food choices. So there was a "beef table," a "salmon table," etc. Bizarre, right? What's more, when someone at our table requested to switch from beef to chicken due to an ingredient allergy, the wait staff said, "Sure, we have extra chicken, but you will have to move to the chicken table" (where there were no more seats). I can't make this stuff up!

It is important that all Love Field travelers are picked up timely. Our Wyndham Guest Service Agents and Shuttle Drivers have been refreshed on Courtesy Shuttles Loading and Unloading areas for the two terminals and the importance of dispatching a location for pick up.
I am sorry the temperatures of the meeting rooms were uncomfortable and our service unsatisfactory during your March and June visits. Our Banquet Manager was informed about this, as well as about the food service issue your colleague encountered in March. We are concentrating on these key areas and will improve our performance. Wanting to do the best for our guests, we were able to relocate the group to our Flight Deck for day 2 of the June meeting and trust this provided a more suitable meeting space.
