My room was large and airy with large windows and very comfortable finishings. The desk was well lit and the internet access was excellent. The room was spotless and stayed that way for the eight days I was there. Even though there were some rowdy guests there during that time I was never distrubed or heard any noise in my room.

When traveling with the family or for more than a day or so, this is our first choice in College Station. As such, this was probably our fifth stay at this property and once again we were more than satisfied. Check-in went smoothly and the suite we had chosen online was the suite we received. We've stayed in studios and one-bedrooms with the same great experience. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and actually stocked with an adequate number of towels. We took advantage of the light dinner one evening (decent) and the breakfast daily. Being able to make our own waffles as well as the creativity of the kitchen staff (ie. breakfast burritos, fruit parfaits, etc.) puts this breakfast above most other complimentary ones. They did a surprisingly good job of replenishing food and clearing tables. Noise wasn't an issue either despite the fact that being a football weekend the hotel was full. The business center and fitness rooms are small but adequate and well maintained. The guest laundry is also an added perk. We always take advantage of the free internet, just wish Homewood offered wireless connections in the rooms and not just in the lobby. However, there is an ethernet connection in each room. CON: The tub isn't non-skid, nor was there a tub mat. My vertically challenged daughter lost her footing trying to reach up to adjust the shower-head but caught herself without falling or injury. On this occasion the air conditioning unit was louder than normal, bordering on being disruptive. As we didn't want maintenance in the room during our stay, we dealt with it.

All in all, a consistently good hotel with a good staff. We will be back.

For any normal eater, the "evening reception" here is truly a full-blown meal. With everything from salad to mains to dessert, the kitchen staff cooked quite the spread. I liked having some home-cooking after I'd been traveling for a month straight and was worn out with chain restaurants. Reception was helpful and accommodating throughout my stay, providing Gold's Gym day passes and fixing my bill promptly when my discount had not been applied properly.
