I've made it a point to always stay at Days Inn for the overall best value and have ALWAYS found DI to meet or exceed my expectations. I've been a traveling construction worker for years and am used to hotles that have less than desirable conditions. Also I'm not too picky when it comes to a place to sleep. The Days Inn in Clute, TX has pretty much turned me off. First off the picture of the front of the hotel on the website is very deceiving - it may have a nice new looking front but the back side and the interior is very much lacking. I should have known something was up when I walked up to the front door and seen thay had done a very poor paint job of the aluminum front doors. Second - The room was dirty and smelled, there was a klennex next to the bed that hadn't bene picked up from the previous tenant, (lord knows what was on it and I couldn't get this out of me head the whole time). Third, the breakfast sucked. We got there at 7am - out of coffee and juice, told the front desk. Came back at 8am and 8:30am both times out of coffee and juice - told the front desk both times. This time he "reset" the juice machine, but it still just dispensed water. Suffice it to say, the only good thing is it was only for 1 night.

This hotel was filthy. I stayed in 124 the first night it was ok. The second night I stayed in 114. It was two double beds. The floor needed vaccumed, there was hair in the shower, the walls were dirty, The mirror had water spots. The room had flat NOT been cleaned. The sidewalk had trash. There was a plunger sitting outside one of the rooms. I wont stay here again.

Pretty filthy rooms with cockroaches...need i say more. I informed the desk person, and the comment was "oh we spray on a monthly basis"...THAT DOES Improve my experience...Good bye...I will inform Days Inn corporate as well as Wyndham.

The pictures on the website are very deceiving. This hotel was disgusting. While I was waiting to check in, a woman came in and said that there were beer cans in the toilet and bath tub. Apparently, they did not clean her room. So, we went to our room and our nonsmoking room smelled like a combination of smoke and mildew. The matresses were torn and there were stains on the chairs and comforter. The air conditioner was off when we came in and after 45 minutes of running, the room was still very hot. We quickly checked out of the hotel and stayed somewhere else.
