Will go back there again. Yea the rooms were a litle old fashioned but we didn't mind. Had more in it then the Gate One Inn. Way cleaner to me also then Gate One. Small bathroom but not a big deal. Bed was comfy. Had internet as well. Very clean pool too.

A family reunion brought us to Brownwood. Waited late to make reservations. This place had only king size beds remaining. We booked three rooms. The management called my house to double-check the reservations I'd made online. I appreciate that. The rooms were dated, but clean enough and the shower worked well. Fridge and MW in each room. We watched some network TV and went to bed. Good AC and the bed was OK, I thought. My husband found it hard. The price was right and the people were nice. We skipped the breakfast. The pool was recently repainted and looked really clean. The pool furniture was dingy and we were afraid it might rub off on our clothes...

My family recently spent three nights here! We were pleased with the quiet clean room. The staff was pleasant. We will definitely plan to stay again.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this was, for the price, around $55 incl tax. The place has sort of a retro feel but everything was very clean. Room was large and roomy with a King Bed, comfy chair, table and chairs, small desk, micro, and a fridge/freezer that was nice and really cold. Bathroom was small but clean. The TV worked fine, good picture. Don't bother with the "continental" breakfast which is marginal, cellophane-wrapped roll, coffee in a thermos is luke-warm, but there is a small coffee maker in the room also. Would definitely stay here again when passing thru Brownwood. Great value for the price these days.
