Once you arrive at the Hampton in Brenham Tx; some road construction is going on right now, 1/24/2012 so be aware that you need to exit at the Hwy 36 exit going either east or west and stay on the feeder road until you get to the turn around going back west under the railroad track and head east again staying on the feeder road, this is very important, don't forget it if the road is still under construction, oh yeah, back to our arrival, when you walk thru the door whether or not you are a regular or a first time visitor, you are greeted by friendly staff.
I watched a load of folks from MN come in on a large bus on the 17th of January to do a photo shoot. Within 10 minutes they were all heading to their rooms, go figure, I couldn't load a Musket that fast. As they were preparing to go to dinner, I was still waiting for my pizza to arrive and engaged the group members and asked if they had seen anything that quick in theri lives. They said they were certainly prepared for them unlike the Hilton in Kansas City the night before. They asked if I stayed here often and said yes, they told me I was lucky. One of the group members stated he couldn't believe how clean the rooms were and how fresh they smelled. Hey, "What did you expect, this is the Hampton in Brenham Texas, God's country". The manager is so professional as is the evening and morning desk personnel. If you have to be out of town, stay in Brenham. Go to Austin in the morning or Houston, where ever your travels take you. The breakfast in the morning is super as is the little older lady who manages the dining area. I spend way too much time in hotels and the Hampton Inn in Brenham has ruined my idea of hotels. You try it out, it doesn't get any better than this.
Room Tip: Either up front or in the back, all rooms are far away from Hwy 290 freeway to be noise free.
