“Better than anticipated”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2010

Stayed overnight 7/26/10 while on a Texas baseball road trip using Hilton reward points. Was anxious about staying at this hotel due to the so-so reviews. I encountered no problems. Found the hotel to be clean and the staff friendly. Compared to other Hampton Inns I found the Baytown hotel to be above average. The breakfast buffet included the usual fare with an added feature of an omelette and sausage links. I would certainly stay again if ever in the Houston area.

“The Worst Hampton In the Country”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2010

I stay in Hampton Hotels Every Week for Business, and by far this is the worst Hampton i have ever stayed at. I have tried to stay hear on several occasions and each stay was worse than the last. The TV does not work ( i have stayed in several rooms)- the Tv Channels are all snowy, the internet does not work (thankfully i have an air card, the customer service is very poor and unfriendly, the business center is a small desk with a desktop computer and a broken printer: one stay was without hot water, a second stay without elevators. I travel to Baytown Monthly and will never stay there again. There is a wonderful candlewood suites less than a mile away. The Rates are great ($99.00) the property is clean (brand new hotel) and the staff are friendly.

“Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2010

Stayed at the hotel for 3 days in June for granddaughters graduation. Hotel was clean and we didn't experience any problems during our stay. The business area is a little small and right out in the open where other guests can view what your doing. The breakfast I thought was better than average. Our grandchildren used the pool while we were there and enjoyed it very much. I would definitely stay again when in the area as I feel it's one of the nicest hotels within the area. They did have a problem with the elavator one day but it was operating by morning and I needed the exercise anyway. It's more expensive than some of the other hotels within the area but I feel it's worth it to know you're getting a clean room and courteous service. The hotel is close to resturants but because of the traffic and interstate it is next to impossible to walk to most except the Cracker Barrel which is across the street and Denny's next store which I heard wasn't all that clean.

“It ok, but you might be happier closer to Houston”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 April 2009

This was an overnight stop on a trip to San Antonio. Baytown is on the east side of Houston. The area is kinda in the middle of nowhere. There's a Sonic and a horrible Denny's in walking distance.

Pros: Property was clean and nicely furnished. Appears to have been updated recently. Nice pool outside, thou I didn't use it.

Cons: No wireless internet. Room lock didn't work right. The maintenance man was able to work on it, but said it needed to be replaced and he didn't have a spare on hand. I was a bit disappointed the desk didn't contact us to see if the problem was corrected to our satisfaction. In fact, I had a note upon arrival from the Manager saying as a HH member I would be receiving a call within 20 minutes of checking in to see if everything was ok... never happened.

“Not bad, pleasanty surprised given the location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 February 2009

Staff who do their job, rooms clean and quiet and reasonable views - pleasantly surprised as this was a room offered by my points. Was expecting somewhere with kitchen facilities but other than that this was confortable, especially bed. Free breakfast was minimal but passable. I would imagine that this would have been value for money if I had paid.
