I chose Quail as a surprise for my wife...not the first B and B we have stayed in. She couldn't have enjoyed it anymore...great view from the room...breakfast is a treat...the dessert waiting for you when you return at night is always good. George and Anita will make you feel like one of the family!

My wife and I have stayed here in 2007 and 2008 and we have been to the Smoky Mountains on two previous trips. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. George and Anita were wonderful hosts and recommended several different hikes to take in the area, all of which we enjoyed very much. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and clean and the breakfasts were always excellent. Anita also prepares a snack in the evening for guests. We recommend a Llama hike to Max Patch Bald in nearby North Carolina and a hike in Big and Little Catalooche, which is part of the national park, also relatively close to the bed and breakfast. We plan to head back in 2010. Quail Ridge is worth the 14 hour drive from Massachusetts.

The Quail Ridge Inn is a fantastic B&B in the smoky mountains. It's a log cabin style place, and has beautiful, clean, well furnished bedrooms, a nice roomy family room and TV room/loft that you can relax in as well. Anita's breakfasts are amazing, to say the least. I bought two of the Smoky Mountain B&B cookbooks while visiting since they feature some of her recipes!! She and George are very helpful if you have questions about the area, or need to find things to do. They've done a lot of local hikes and other activities and can recommend things based on how long of a hike you want, how difficult, how scenic, etc. etc.

I can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay here. Of all the B&Bs I have stayed in, this one is by far the nicest and my favorite!
