“Very good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

This was my first time at the Governor's Inn. I had what I would consider a real suite, 2 rooms separated by the outside vanity and bathroom. Both rooms were very large and clean and included a small refrigerator and a microwave. Both rooms also had a tv so I was not sitting on the bed the entire time. They could update the furniture and pillows. The sofa and the bed were both low for me. The breakfast area was one of the largest I've seen for seating. I will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I generally ask for a room on a higher floor because you get better views.

“outstanding service and staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Stayed here Jan. 21-22, 2012 and will go back. My room was clean, in good repair, and comfortable. The jacuzzi was very clean and there were extra towels for it. The balcony was clean and there were clean chairs on it to enjoy the view. The free breakfast had a lot of room for improvement but the exceptional quality of this property was the staff. From the moment I walked in the door, the staff were attentive, helpful, and suggestive. When I requested someone to bring a luggage trolley to my room, the young lady asked if I'd checked the refrigerator and drawers as we were leaving the room. I did appreciate that ---more than once, I've left a goodie in a room refrigerator. The staff person who helped me cart 4 heavy boxes to my room refused a tip, saying instead to please remember the housekeeping staff. (I did!) My only complaint would be that the towels were too small and thin. But other than that and for the price I paid, I'll come back.

Room Tip: The corner rooms with jacuzzi are very spacious and the jacuzzi is great size and comfortable.

“Centrally located with easy access to all sites.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

Above middle of the road. If you're looking for clean, better than most local rooms, accomodating, and easy to drive in and out to local attractions, this is your place. If you need more room, they have suites at The Resort that are super cool. My friends and I have stayed her several times. Sometimes we rent a luxury cabin in the woods, but we love this place because the price is right and it is conveniently located to Sevierville and Pigeon Forge.

“"Great service"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2011

I stayed here as part of a tour group. The rooms were very large, clean and comfortable. The staff was superb expecailly thanks to Scott who gave me extra special help during my stay in Nov. I had leave the group and take a cab-bus-cab-airplane to California and he helped to make those arrangements.

“Great Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2011

I randomly chose this hotel as I was passing through the area, and it turned out to be a decent choice. It's a fairly big hotel, and is located right in the heart of the shopping outlet region - you can practically walk across to it! Also very close to a couple of local wineries, as well as various other stores (including Wal Mart) and heaps of restaurants. Not to mention all the "tacky-fun" stuff that this area has to offer. My room turned out to be huge - one of those split rooms with 2 queen beds separated off from each other, with a TV in each half of the room. So there was more than enough space. They do have a little fitness room as well. Breakfast was fairly typical - various cereals, waffles, little donuts, eggs, toast, oatmeal. Not a huge choice - more than enough for me, but if you're someone who likes a lot more choice at breakfast, then this might not be for you. The town itself is also a great stop-off point if you're heading to Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains. It only takes 20-30 minutes to drive from Sevierville to the Cades Cove scenic loop road - that's well worth the visit too, such a beautiful drive around the cove.

All in all, a typical budget hotel - perfectly fine for my needs, and a great location if you're either doing the shopping thing, or heading to the Smoky Mountains.
