Well this one started out on the left foot but it progressively got better and we are pleased to announce a very pleasant stay.
We found a promotion online with this resort for a two night stay which included two two-day Dollywood passes. We booked the package directly through the resort.
Check In-
We were charged $20.00 more than the promotion price-refunded promptly once we discovered their error.
We were not given the Dollywood tickets due to the promotion had changed after we booked-Management discovered their error and we received the tickets.
The room-
Very clean and had plenty of amenities. The refrigerator was huge and cold. We never used the microwave or compact stovetop. They provide pans, pots, dishes, glasses, utensils, dish soap, dish towels etc.
Negatives:
As with all resorts, only two packets of sugar and creamor?
As in some other reviews it does seem a tad dark and tight, but overall we weren't there to spend our day in the room. The bed was a little hard, but how do you please everyone's taste in mattress firmness?
We did notify the desk that the commode was not fastened correctly, and this issue had not been rectified during our visit.
Recreation:
Excellent pool and hot tub; lounged there for several hours during our trip. there is a section of the pool that is semi enclosed for the lil' ones to play in. Loved that! Kudos to the resort! The water was heated and was enjoyed by all. The hot tub was hot and clean. Very relaxing. They had a table with checkers, which was fun! Rocking chairs to enjoy in the pool area as well. The fitness room had an elliptical, tread mill and free weights.
Other:
The resort serves a typical continental breakfast in the am with cereal, danish, waffles, coffee, juice etc.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at Cold Creek even with the check-in hiccup and we would recommend staying here.
