We stayed here in the summer of 2011. Paid over 100$ for the room, but there were dead bugs all of the floor. The blankets looked like they had not been cleaned in weeks, hair everywhere. The really itchy blanket (the one between the sheets and comforter) had a small bug on it that was white. I took it to the lady and she said "well we dont have bugs" but apparently she has only been sitting at the desk because those rooms are disgusting. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY IT IS NOT WORTH IT. I cannot believe this place is still running. There were even bugs in the jacuzzi when you turned on the jets they came out of the jets. I hope that this place gets inspected and they condemn this place. Guest services are completely RUDE!!!!!! She looks at you like you are stupid and ignorant. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED IN AND I HAVE STAYED IN MANY HOTELS!!!

My family has been staying at this hotel for 15 years, every year in May. My grandparents have been staying at this hotel for over 30 years. This is the best hotel in Pigeon Forge and the only hotel my family and I will stay at. The employees and Manager are very friendly and the cleaning staff is very good. Never had a problem with cleanliness. You go out back of the hotel and you can feed hundreds of ducks. Front of the hotel is a wonderful view of the mountain. This is overall the best hotel.

We tried to stay at this motel October 2011 but we were invaded by roaches. They were crawling everywere across the phone and up the walls. We called the front desk and told them we would be checking out and wanted our money back, Betty the front desk clerk of course was only doing her job what she was instructed to do , by Sean and Ruby Shaw the owners , she informed me she could give me one night money back only although we had checked in three hours earlier and had just returned to our room . She did offer us a can of bug spray and said they had never had roach problems before lol and they did offer us another bug infested room. We left, I believe in getting what you paid for but Roaches is pure filth

We have stayed at the River Place Inn for 25 years when we are in the area for vacation or just a weekend getaway. We love the motel and the employees who are at the check in desk are so friendly and welcoming. We have recommended River Place on many occasions and have found that our friends and family are just as pleased with the motel. We do not look for another place to stay when we are in the area, because our satisfaction with River Place has been top notch. We are looking forward to coming to the area again in December for the Christmas holiday season and will be heading to our favorite motel location--River Place Inn. We would like to take this opportunity to send out a special "Thank You" to the desk clerks who make our reservations, they are superb at what they do and have never made an error in our reservations. It is a relaxing and enjoyable motel to have as our home away from home.
