We saw some good reviews of this property on TripAdvisor and decided to stay here for a long weekend. About the only things we would consider complaining about was that our keys seemed to not want to work sometimes, and that the lighting in the rooms was a little stark - no lamps, just bright overhead and wall lamps. But - the rate was great. The rooms were updated with nice flat-screen TV's and a heater/ac unit that actually WORKED and the noise didn't run us out, and clean linens and what felt like new towels. The staff response seemed to be adequate, and the indoor pool (although we didn't use it) was a favorite spot for the families there. The pool is in the lower basement, so we didn't hear all the noise that I'm sure was being made. The limited breakfast featured gravy and biscuits and good coffee, so I was set to go. All in all, we feel that we got an excellent deal for our money, and that we will stay here again. They were full this weekend, and we didn't see any big groups taking up blocks of rooms. If you want a 5STAR hotel, please pick something WAY more expensive that this place - that way WE will be able to keep this one as OUR little secret...
