As my fiance & I were packing to leave at the end of our weekend getaway, I removed the blankets/sheets from the bed to make sure we didn't leave any belongings behind. Once removed we noticed several large stains of dried blood on the bottom "fitted" sheet of the bed we'd slept on for 2 days!! My fiance verified the blood had not come from her monthly period nor from either of us. Mortified, we took pictures of the sheets then removed them & took them to the office upon checkout. I brought the situation to the clerks attention & showed her the sheet. She called her manager (and spoke with him on the phone in a foreign language neither my fiance nor I understood) After a few seconds she stated the manager would call us (she took our phone number) & there was nothing she could do. She stated we'd booked our reservation through Smokey Mountain Getaways and paid them, not her so we'd have to wait for the manager to call. We left the establishment. No phone call was received from the Lazy Bear Inn. I've since filed complaints with both the BBB & FTC. DON'T EVER STAY THERE!

Normally I do not like to complain, but couldn't overlook this one. The room was stuffy, air blew out dust, don't think it had been on in quite a while, musty. Was not given the number of beds we reserved. Had to share a king bed with kids. Also had to use a roll away that had springs sticking out. The room felt very closed in and was not decorated at all, there were hooks where pictures should have been. Bad experience there. Did not sleep at all. Too hot and stuffy, loud overhead.

People who run this place do not know what they are doing, they give away your reservation, lock the office where you can not go in and talk to anyone then charge you for rooms they gave away. Made us go hunt hotel rooms at 4 am and then charged us for the rooms they gave away. Worst possible customer service. Refuse to discuss or talk to us.

I just recently stayed at the Lazy Bear Inn. The inn itself is small but is well-maintained and very clean. I received a very great rate and was very pleased with my stay in all aspects. I did, however, experience inconvenience with the way towels were delivered. All my towels were taken during the early morning but were not replaced until after 4 PM. I think it was due to lack of staff. But it didn't ruin my stay or anything. I will be back the next time I am in Pigeon Forge. This is a treasure in the midst of high priced hotels!
