We had wanted to try this hotel for a while, but it's usually a little high for our budget. We waited until the price came down for an "off peak" visit. It was great. We checked in a little early and the kids were able to have most of the water areas to themselves for quite a while before other guests began to arrive. I'm not sure how much longer the outdoor water areas (waterslide, small lazy river, "fountain pad" for smaller children, and hot tub) will be available once fall begins. There is an indoor pool and hot tub. The indoor pool has a basketball goal which the kids thought was also awesome. In the outdoor area there is also a sitting area with a gas fire pit. (It wasn't on when we were down there, but it looked like a nice little area to sit.)
This hotel seems to be able to offer a list of discount tickets to area attractions, so you may want to check with them if you know what you would like to do. The list is posted in various places within the hotel and seems to be a consistant offering. The lobby has a nice open feel, a piano available to guests, IPads posted on columns to allow you to search maps, attractions, etc. The breakfast was fine...bacon, sausage, eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits, gravy, cereals (I didn't see oatmeal/hot cereal items, but I may have overlooked it.) There were small muffins, some donuts, toast as well as some refrigerated items - fruit, yogurt, various milk cartons...including chocolate. Two unique items at breakfast were the omelet station and cappuccinos! Mmmmm!
The rooms were great. I believe each room has a balcony. Ask for the front side of the hotel if you would like to see what is going on near the strip. If you would prefer a "quieter" view...the back side faces the hillside (not super scenic, but very little light at night as opposed to the strip!) My daughter loved the bathroom because the tub sits very low...it felt like it was "her size". The bathroom consists of a seperate room for the toilet. It was a little cramped while getting ready since the door from the toilet opens toward the sink. Not a huge problem, but some may find it inconvenient at times. The only other "complaint" some may have is the hardware on the furniture. It looks great but it's kind of hard to grasp. The knobs are small squares. My daughter and I had a hard time getting into the fridge after we had put lotion on our hands. Again, not a huge problem, but some may find it to be an issue. There is a LOT of storage in these rooms. My family would have no problem staying here for an extended stay. Looking forward to our next stay!

Thank You so much for your reveiw and for telling folks all about our hotel. Our staff so appreciates you and looks forward to your return. We hope you will remember that the spa is now open and that you can call ahead for an appointment. You can also call ahead and book your tickets to shows that you think might sell out on the night you would want to attend. So if you need to book early just let us know. There is so much to see and do here and we reccomend, The Majestic Theater which has;" America's Hit Parade" and "The Soul of Motown". They are two of the best shows in town. We look forward to your next stay in your Home away from Home.
