“CHOOSE THIS ONE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

This property appeals to many traveler whims:
-Value
-Style
-Elegance
-Comfort
-Bountiful Ammenities
-Spacious, comfortable accommodations
-Service
Keep reading for details!

Value - simple. The lowest tier room (2-queen) is only $59 per night in February! WOW! When you finish reading this review you'll think this is AMAZING!

Style/Elegance - from the time you walk in, it's evident. This hotel is on par with Embassy Suites (a HILTON brand)! The elegant lighting and the employment of stone all around is what caught my eye before anything else. Next I noticed the elegant dark color of the furniture throughout. The dark color brings an aire of elegance to the whole package. In the suites you'll notice the nice touches such as a stainless wet bar surrounded by a granite countertop, complimented by a beveled- glass door 4-shelf pantry above. The lighting in the suite is of brushed metal with modern diffusers. The large picture window has a type of shade that allows full sunlight in while affording total privacy. I've never seen this before. The headboards complimenting the beds are of a dark wood, mounted to the wall. The lavatory in the bathroom is of granite. The flooring in the bathroom is not one I've seen before, but textured tile of some sort - unique. The walls are of a textured finish with elegant pictures.

Comfort- Where do I begin? The wonderful, ambient/"cozy" lighting? Having 5 pillows on the bed and more in the closet? The dreamy pillowtop mattress? The triple-sheeted duvet was exquisite, too! The water temp in the bath is without flaw. Nice and hot. The shower head and water pressure are great! The couch/sofa bed is quite comfortable to sit on...no experience with it in it's usage as a sleeper. The chair in the den is quite comfy, too! The feeling of actually walking from one room to another as opposed to being in a room with two beds seeing all points from the door is WONDERFUL! No cramped feel here! Something that I've never seen until I stayed at this hotel is this: the big picture window actually opens! Now, there's a stop at the top to prevent potential accident; but it's great to let in fresh aire!! Also, as with many newer hotels now, the theremostat is located on the wall and easily adjusted. As for the TV, it's an LG 42". Here's the best part. It's one TV but on a swivel so that you can watch in from either the "den" or the "bed" area!

Bountiful Ammenities- Let's start with Wi-Fi. QUICK & EASY. Enough said! Also, they have a wired setup at the desk with cable included, and wired provisions at the bedside if you have your own ethernet cable for your laptop. Lots of internet hook-up options! There are plenty of places in the breakfast dining room to sit with a media device to surf to your heart's content! There's a curved bar-style stand in the area with outlets just perfect for such use. If you don't have your own device, there's one available in the public area as well! Also, there are plenty of power outlets throughout the suite! I mean, really! A lot! If you're in need of a hair dryer, you'll find one in the closet along with an iron and ironing board. If you don't know what you'd like to do in the area, there are plenty of stands & lighted boards that show available activities, places to eat, etc., in the area - a nice touch. As for breakfast...something for everyone. One thing I noticed that's different is that the oatmeal is already prepared for us instead of us having to mix it. Also, they offer brown sugar, raisins, & WALNUTS with it! The walnuts make great waffles when you add them to the mix at the waffle station. The countertop refrigerator houses two types of milk, 2 types of yourt. There is hot scrambled eggs, sausage or canadian bacon, cereals, apples, banannas, muffins/bagels/bread, pastries (elegantly presented...not like in cupcake wrappers!), various juices and coffee, of course. Also, there's a full excercise room (see pictures). Microwave, fridge - standard. Also, at the bedside table there's an IPOD DOCKING STATION!

The POOLS/HOT TUB deserve a separate, more detailed description. The outdoor pool area houses a nice shallow pool, a corkscrew slide, and a hot tube with the elegant touch of fresh water running into it constantly (see pictures). As for the indoor pool area, NICE. Again, about 4 1/2 feet deep...nice and easy. Nice and warm in there....wouldn't take long to warm up in winter weather if you wanted to get in the hot tub....just a quick jaunt to the indoor pool area. Nice "cubbies" to put your personal items in, fully stocked towels shelf - complete with a "dirty" towel hamper beside it. The windows in this enclosure are wonderfully placed for plenty of natural sunlight. There are plenty of loungers for those who want to stretch out and relax, plus plenty of chairs with corner tables for sitting and chatting. Also, here's the best part - the music and ambience in the this room make all your cares melt away! It's great!

Spacious - I don't know the square footage of these suites; but I do know they are QUITE ROOMY. Also, it's very nice to have a chest of drawers (3 high). There's on additional drawer in the bedside table to store things. Also, there's a huge WALK-IN closet in the room. You could almost put a blow-up bed in there it's so big! Nice! The kitchenette has plenty of storage for dry foods, plus a large fridge (NO FREEZER). The den area has seating for 5 people, easily. There's a sofa bed, chair, plus the chair at the desk. The bathroom is separated from the lavatory...both of which have plenty of space. The lavatory has plenty of space, plus an extra shelf above it! All of this space makes it very easy to keep your luggage out of the way to give the suite a perfectly organized and clean feel.

Service - Great from the start. The front desk is most helpful in getting the best rate possible (always try both the website and caling the desk). They are quick at check in. They call you after you've had time to settle in to see if everything is to your liking or if you need anything else. Great little extra! All through the day all associates greet you. At breakfast, the items are KEPT FULL even as it gets close to the end of breakfast. To me, that's "over the top" because a lot of places will let it run down as it gets close to the end. I've been in hotels and had to actually wait for main items, such a scrambled eggs! Not here! Also, there's pride in the work here. I went down after breakfast to get pictures of the breakfast area and the girl commented, "OH! I'm glad you didn't come to take pictures before I got done cleaning 'my' tables! I'm not done with 'my' floor yet, though!" PRIDE in her work! This was the same one who worked herself crazy keeping everything full at breakfast! Great, great service here!

Keep this in mind when considering this hotel. I live in the area. This was a STAYCATION WEEKENDER. I could have chosen any of 95 hotels in the area; and I CHOSE THIS ONE. It was a BULLSEYE! I will be back again and have already started recommending the brand to others!

“Love this Hotel!”

Our family spent a long weekend in Pigeon Forge and were so pleased with this hotel. First off, the price was RIGHT! Maybe because it's the off season?? The front desk staff was always available, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is very clean and beautifully decorated. The room was large and very clean with a fridge and microwave. The beds were so comfortable and lots of fluffy pillows. There is an indoor pool AND an outdoor pool. My favorite part though was the outdoor hot tub! I loved being outside in a hot tub in January. The complimentary breakfast was very good with both hot and cold offerings. We would definitely stay here again!!

“Wonderful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Roomy rooms. Ground floor room was quiet despite being next to the pool. Nice indoor pool and a heated outdoor pool open in the winter. My kids enjoyed swimming and going on the pool slide when it was below freezing out. Breakfast had lots of choices. Staff was attentive, courteous and knowledgeable. Lobby was very clean. In the middle of everything. Short drive to Dollywood and we walked to MagiQuest and the Mellow Mushroom. Would definitely stay here again.

“Weekend Getaway”

After spending one night at a hotel in Gatlinburg, my husband and I decided the sleep number bed was way too uncomfortable for a second night at that hotel. After deciding to checkout of the Gatlinburg hotel, I checked Tripadvisor for nearby hotels and the Springhill Suites in Pigeon Forge had received good reviews. I called the hotel and asked about vacancy and checkin. Not only did we recieve an extremely good rate, we were allowed to checkin before lunch which meant we didn't have to haul our luggage around with us while we were sightseeing. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable with good linens. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was the standard free hotel fare. The hotel is within a short walking distance of the Bullfish resturant, Starbucks, Mellow Mushroom and Coldslab creamery. Will stay here again.

“Outstanding Location - GREAT SERVICE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

I STRONGLY recommend Spring Hill Suites by Marriott in Pigeon Forge, TN. The hotel looks like it is brand new. The lobby, hallways, rooms, exercise room, and pool were SPOTLESSLY CLEAN! The bed was comfortable and the environment was quiet. It provided a very restful sleep. Internet connection was great. The breakfast was very good with great choices. I appreciated the yogurt and fresh fruit. I also appreciated that the pool, whirlpool, and exercise room were open late so that adults could use the facility - after a full day. The entire area was well lit and seemed very safe. By far and away the STAFF were the very best. They provided great information on places to go and sights to see. They responded extremely fast to requests (e.g., additional shampoo, towels). The cleaning personnel are highly visible and attended to every detail related to cleanliness. The front desk staff could not have been nicer. The manager joined the front desk staff in the a.m. to interact with guests and was very nice. I strongly recommend this location!!

Room Tip: Book early! Enjoy the exercise room and pool.
