We booked this hotel for 5 days/4 nights between Christmas and New Years Eve 2011. We were a little late arriving, and was pleasantly surprised to have someone from the front desk call our cell phone to make sure we were okay. She even gave us directions that had us there within 5 minutes. Our check-in process was fast. The room was very clean. My kids loved the 'window bed' and each took turns sleeping there each night. The location is right in the heart of Pigeon Forge, but it is super quiet. Our room faced the backside of the property (towards the mountainside) and we did not hear any traffic from the highway. It was one of the most quiet properties we've stayed in. The carpets were super clean, as were the bed covers, mattresses and bathroom. Each day we were greeted by the pleasant staff members at the front desk, as well as the janitors and maids. We will stay at this property again, when we visit the Smokies. My only complaint was the toilet would continue to flush water, unless the handle was jiggled..and our final morning there, the water experienced a few issues with going from one temperature to another. I had to constantly adjust to keep from getting too hot or too cold. A minor issue that was only encountered that day. The other days were fine. We did not get up in time to participate in breakfast, so I can not give my opinion on that, but the property is nice and clean. Across from the elevator is a vending area that offers chips, cookies, etc, pop and even medication. Plus, free coffee that is very tasty! (decaf is offered as well)
We were less than 5 minutes from Dollywood, and Golden Corral is literally a walk across the parking lot. So is McDonald's and Corky's. I would recommend this place to anyone! OH, I can't forget to mention wifi. It's available, free and very speedy.
Room Tip: We were on the backside of the property facing the mountain. It is very quiet!!
