We stayed here for a couple of nights over the MLK weekend. This was our first visit to this property, and overall we were very satisfied with our stay.
Check in was very prompt and efficient, and the office staff was very friendly. Parking was ample, and they give each guest a pass to hang from the mirror. I suppose this might be necessary for times when Pigeon Forge is really crowded, and non-guest might be tempted to use the hotel parking lot. That was not the case this weekend, but I did appreciate the extra measure of security.
We had a second story room with a king bed. The room had very nice amenities -- a nice size fridge, a microwave, an oversized whirlpool tub, and a gas fireplace. Free Wi-Fi was available, and my wife had no trouble accessing it with her i-Phone. The only improvement I might suggest would be -- in a future renovation -- to somehow partition the bathroom area so the sink could be used while anyone else is using the "facility." As it is now the tub, sink, and toilet are all in one fairly spacious room with just one entry way.
The complimentary breakfast was good -- scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, make-your-own waffles, and assorted pastries, etc. The only slight complaint we might have is that the breakfast area is kind of small, and a number of church youth groups staying in the hotel that weekend made for a crowded situation. In fact the first morning we just opted to have breakfast at the Denny's located adjacent to the hotel.
As for the youth groups, when my wife and I saw them starting to come in shortly after we had arrived, we thought we had made a terrible mistake. However I'm pleased to say that it wasn't too much of a problem, and that it was relatively quiet and calm through both of the nights we were there. Although I don't really know, I hope this is reflective of the hotel management making sure these types of groups adhere to policies regarding quiet hours, appropriate behavior, etc.
The location of the property provides quick access to the Gatlinburg bypass and on into the Smoky Mountains National park, which is our primary interest in going to this area. An ample number of restaurants are close by for evening meals.
On the whole a very nice stay, and we would consider coming here again.
