I would have stayed at the Staybridge based on reviews, but the DoubleTree was fine. I had a handicap room for some reason, which was fine - other than the shower head was too low and had no way of being adjusted other than to hold it in your hand (which was awkward). The room was a decent size, bed was comfy, AC unit didn't seem to keep a steady temp but otherwise had no issue with it. Didn't try the pool. Exercise room was in an odd spot and only had a few pieces of machinery, although they had an agreement with a gym somewhere. Had breakfast at the restaurant several times. There are two buffets or you could order off of the menu. Menu items were better and HUGE. All in all a pretty good stay and very convenient to work.
A tip - not a lot of decent places to eat in Oak Ridge, nor a lot to do. If either of those interest you, stay in Knoxville (and visit the Downtown Grill and Brewery!).
