Very disappointed in the accommodations - we booked the condo and motel room for our family. The toilet did not work in the condo (and they didn't bother to come fix it while we were there), the pool had been closed by the TN Dept. of Health, and the playground was nonexistent.

We thought (according to the description) that we had easy lake access. We brought our jet ski and rented a pontoon boat from them. The marina is "down the mountain" and not easily accessible. Plus parking is terrible.

Overall, a disaster of a weekend - and the only weekend each year we have our whole family together. They refused any compensation for the problems that we had!!

We booked this campground hoping to spend the weekend partially at our tents and partially playing in norris lake. The site pictures make you believe that you have lakeside access but you do not. The tent sites (even the more expensive, which we asked for) are at the top of a steep grade that you can look over to see the water, but there's no access to it unless you jump off the dock at the marina. The bathrooms are disgusting. We got to the site obviously looking for lake front, after realizing that wasn't going to happen, we traveled along the gravel, yes gravel, sites until we got as far away from all the other campers as possible. We got situatied and then realized that the water access was broken, you could see where the pipe detached and hadn't been fixed, so we shared water with another site. We also didn't have a picnic table as expected. When I called and asked them for one, they said they would have one out to us in the morning, but we never saw it. We were there for 3 days. Thankfully the neighbors beside us were gracious enough to let us use thiers. The site also advertises firewood, so we didn't bring any so that the truck wouldn't be overloaded. The first day we got 5 bundles (5 dollars a bundle) and they were out of wood from there on out...not to mention we had to make our own firepit out of rocks in the area. I wouldn't suggest this campground to anyone unless they are just planning to sleep in their tent and play in the lake all day. Very disappointed.

05/20-21/05 Rented a cabin for a long weekend of fishing. This area is beautiful and right off of I-75. Numerous signs make it easy to find. Cabin was nice -- rather rustic but good price. Rented a pontoon for a day of fishing on Norris. You can buy bait right at the dock. Makes it convenient. Great little restaurant at dock too. The personnel are marvelous there. Cannot say enough about how friendly and helpful everyone was -- especially the people down at the dock and restaurant and front desk. Would highly recommend for a nice weekend getaway. Bass boats and house boats for rent also. We will return frequently.
