The downtown Sheraton is a lovely hotel. Rooms are nice, clean; beds are very comfy. Our issue was with our reservations. We had booked 2 rooms, one on the club floor-which we were charged an additional $60.00 per night to be there and a second room on a regular floor for another family member. When we arrived, we were told that both rooms were on the club floor and we were being charged the higher rate for both rooms. We argued that we did not book that way and the other family members did not need to pay the extra fee for hospitality and what not. The manager came over after extensive arguing about this with Ben, the front desk clerk. He looked at the reservation and said, you never checked your confirmation email. You were booked this way. He offered no compensation for the mistake on the part of reservations and pretty much was like, too bad for you. He did put our family on a regular floor, but at a higher rate that was originally quoted to us stating that the hotel is sold out and that is the only price he would give. Now, as for the club floor-DO NOT waste your money or your points. There is no "Happy Hour" as you are told when you check in. You are entitled to a few appetizers and some cut up fruit and cheese. No liquor is included in that and as a matter of fact, the prices for drinks were way more than the lobby bar!! I was told it is against the law in Nashville to give away liquor. Well then say that at check in and charge a nominal fee for drinks. Not more! Crazy! So basically, you are paying an extra $60.00 per night for an ok breakfast and an evening snack. No thanks. I did mention this misrepresentation to another hotel clerk, who said ok, here are a few extra points on your account. Would rather have my money back. I just honestly feel that the front desk manager did absolutely nothing at all to rectify the error made in reservations. It was not a good feeling to be dismissed that way. So my advise to all of you is to open your confirmation emails!!! If you don't you may have the same problem that we did! We just have never had an SPG hotel not try to fix a bad situation. Also want to mention the water pressure on the club floor was terrible and our last morning shower water would only reach tepid. Not good. I do want to point out a good thing; the concierge at the hotel was a very nice woman. She did give our large group city tour ideas that were just great. Definately go see her when planning your day trips. Just watch your bookings here. Could wind up costing you plenty.
Room Tip: Did not hear any complaints from anyone in our group about the rooms. Water pressure on club floor...

Thank you for your kinds words about our hotel overall and specifically about our guest rooms. I am so sorry to hear about the troubles you experienced during your stay with us. I certainly understand why the situation that you described would be frustrating. Regardless of the situation, our team should be helpful, concerned with issues shared and focused on providing a positive experience while you are here. Additionally, it is our goal to ensure that a club level upgrade provides benefits worth the additional fee. A full hot breakfast, evening hors d’ oeuvres, keyed access, complimentary internet and upgraded accommodations are what we promise. It does not sound like you received the experience intended for this upgrade. I am sorry that you this was not your experience. Thank you for the wonderful compliments about our concierge. I am glad that she was so helpful to make sure your days were enjoyable while in Nashville. I will share your kinds words. Thank you for your feedback. I will be looking into the issues that you shared to ensure that we handle these correctly for all of our guests in the future. I hope that we will see you again. We want you to return and have a great experience with us.
