After my unpleasant experience at the Bridge Lounge in Oct of last year, I was contacted by the Food & Beverage Manager at the hotel. He was extremely apologetic and explained they were understaffed that evening. I appreciated that he did not try to explain it away, but took responsibility for the poor experience I had. In addition, he offered to extend another opportunity for us to visit the hotel and/or restaurant. Unfortunately, we were not able to take advantage of his kind offer, but we certainly appreciated it. I will give the Bridge Lounge another chance the next time I visit Nashville.

Excellent hotel situated right in the middle of it all. Close to the convention center and the Broadway country bar scene. The best part is the close proximity to the Bridgestone Arena and all the great Predator games.

We had a gorgeous suite with a spectacular view...until you looked in the bathroom. Mold and filth in the shower and the toilet was scummy at the base. Then the pool area...dangerously filthy. Black scum and grime in the drains on the pool deck and the scum on the pool tiles hadn't been cleaned in ages. Yes it's old but this is unacceptable for an expensive hotel. I was tempted to call the health agency here...People everywhere were courteous and friendly. Too bad this and the Marriott chain have gone down so significantly

The bed was typical high standards for Marriott, but the hotel and rooms were dated. The bathroom was most noticeable. There were holes in the wall where something was removed and never covered over. The mirror in the bathroom had not been cleaned in a while. It had stuff all over it. When I sat on the toilet, it moved! The carpet had stuff in the corners of the room and looked like it had been there for a few years. Not what you would expect from Marriott but the hotel is older. I also parked at valet when I arrived. 9 hours later, when I returned from meetings, my car was still parked in the same spot I had left it at the front of the hotel. When I questioned it, they said they were about to move it, but the did not charge me for the day. Overall, you can tell this property is due for a facelift. The most important item was the bed. Marriott does wonders at getting the bed comfort in that it can trump a dirty carpet or bathroom. Only a few blocks to Broadway and a very easy walk. Location is great!
