Nashville was awesome. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and then moved down the street to the Courtyard for our last night due to coming on Homecoming weekend and everything was crazy crowded!
The holiday inn could've had bigger rooms and the exec lounge was always empty of snacks. If you arrive at night, the parking lot in the back has a locked entrance to the hotel and you'll end up walking all the way around w/ luggage to get in. However, those are the only slight negatives I can think of.
The hotel has a free shuttle to/from the music strip which is perfect. If you stay out late you might need to catch a cab back, but it's pretty cheap. There is also live music in the hotel in the evenings, although most of it wasn't nearly the quality of downtown, it was nice that it was so convenient. The hotel shuttle will also take you to any restaurants close by which is also a big plus.
The breakfast buffet was amazing - not included with your room, but if you have status you can ask and they *should* include it for free as a perk.
Nashville has lots to see nearby and this was the perfect jump-off point. We went to the Belle Meade plantation, Jack Daniels Distillery, Country Music Hall of Fame, and of course spent lots of time bar-hopping downtown seeing amazing singers. Even the kareoke singers sounded professional to me. Great time.
If you're there for Vanderbilt football - it's right next door, so this is the perfect location. There's also a big park across the street and a museum (I think.)
I'd definately stay again!
