Clean and cheap and easy to get to, but I stayed here based on their description of close to downtown / Opryland. I was hoping to walk to a few places, and having never been to Nashville before, the location sounded good. It's a 10 minute drive by highway to the downtown, and 20 minutes at highway speeds to Opryland. I guess I could walk if I had 4-5 hours. Outside of that, it was a reasonable stay.

I found a coupon in book at rest stop for 32.99 but should have spent 10 dollars more for better place. Location is great, directly off I-24 exit 87 but that's the only good thing. Room is dirty and extremely run down. Electrical socket loose, scared might start fire. They vaccuum, make beds and put fresh towels but i think that's about it. Everything was grimy. I was just traveling through on way to Florida so dealt with since I only needed to sleep but was not comfortable, especially since I'm single female traveling alone. Bed was comfy and they do offer free internet access. Those are the only nice things I have to say. Sorry Howard Johnson's but you really need to invest in upgrading and remodeling.

We used our reward points for this room, but I noticed when checking in that the room was advertised for $40/night. It is in a good central location of Nashville. Very easy to get to downtown or to the Opryland area. The motel is older and by no means fancy, but it was a place to spend the night and while the room was somewhat worn,it was clean and adequate for our one night stay. There is a very popular club next door, but our room was on the other side and I didn't hear any noise from the club. Breakfast consisted of your basic pastry, cereal, milk, juice and coffee.

I booked this hotel through expedia at the last minute and was shocked when I read the reviews on trip advisor. This hotel for the price is more than suitable. It is not in downtown Nashville but about a $15.00 taxi ride from downtown. The amenities are few. The room is clean and mattress was brand new and also had appropriate protection covers. The towels were fine not rough as stated in other reviews. It is close to a highway if sound bothers you at night. I did not find it that bad but I live in the City. Great BBQ place around the corner called Jacks. Awesome southern BBQ - great prices. There is also a store, jack in the box, mcdonalds and dollar store all with in walking distance. As previously stated room was clean and we had no problems with our stay. Gentlemen on front desk recommended a tour to us after we asked and booked it for us. We took the tour and enjoyed it. This hotel is not luxury but very inexpensive and clean for short stay. People need to remember you get what you pay for.
