This hotel is located on a very busy main street with an island blocking the driveway so you have to drive past and then come back on the other side to get to the hotel. The interstate rushes past your room window. I question the safety of the area, because we kept hearing sirens every few minutes, it kept us up all night long, just when you thought there would be no more sirens, another one would start up and wail past the hotel. The WiFi was reliable after you enter in the name and password. There is no shut off for the bathroom fan, so it just runs constantly... how energy efficient is that ?? Doesn't that just take the heated air in the room and suck it right outside, forcing the room heater to replenish the heat that was removed... Also.. the coffee maker is in the bathroom YUCK.... are you telling me that if I was invited to the Hotel owners private home that he makes his coffee in his bathroom... I somehow doubt it... Come on... put a shelf near the microwave and fridge and put the coffee maker on that.
The final kicker to why I gave this property a poor rating was the attitude I received upon checking out. As a Best Western Diamond member, we are entitled to some token gift, a bottle of water or something along those lines, or we can decline the gift and receive 250 bonus rewards points. I mentioned to the clerk upon checking out that I never received the gift, but not to be concerned, just give me the 250 points, which I prefer to receive over the gift. He insisted that the gift was in the room, I said no it wasn't, to which he replied that he personally put it in the room.. I said again, unless you hid it, there is no gift in the room. He then called over a female employee and asked her if she put the gift in room 302, she looked at him with a questioning stare and then said she put it in room 402. So much for this checkout clerk "personally" putting the gift in the room, he did nothing personally, he delegated. But it was his attitude that he was right and I was wrong that got me ticked off. Don't lie to me that you did something personally.
Room Tip: I am not so sure there is a good room, the Interstate rushes by one window and there is a very busy...
