The location is perfect for those who want to visit downtown, but nothing much around the hotel. Lobby is very nice, service was also nice, room 'so so' - in fact identical to the Marriott we had just stayed at in Atlanta, however several degrees less luxurious. We had a great view over downtown, however, so that was super. Breakfast was copious, I thought perfect. We had a 'decent' rate at $115 plus tax plus Parking at $19 a night (that was a bummer) but I enquired about week-end rates which are nearly $300 a night - now THAT would be ridiculous to pay for an Express. Other 'bummer', they omitted to tell me there was NO shuttle on Sundays, so we had to take the car again. Next time, we'll stay in midtown a couple of miles up the street, more lively in a low-key type of way and better if you want to stay away from the loud downtown (we were not there for the music, which I know is excellent!)

Almost felt like the corporate folks from Holiday Inn were in town overseeing the operations. Service was top notch. Rivaled just about any high-end hotel I've ever stayed in. I really enjoyed the convenience of their shuttle service as well. The hotel was located close to my meetings, but you need the shuttle service if you plan to hit all the night life. It was like having my own personal taxi...for FREE. My room was also very clean and quite. Price was right. So no complaints. I didn't give it 5 stars as I only reserve that for those extra specials hotels in unique locations. But I couldn't find one thing wrong with this hotel.

Our third trip in town and it was again everything we expected. This time we stayed at the Holiday Inn on Broadway. I t was nice, clean and had a good breakfast. Parking was $10 and the garage is under the hotel. A 5 min walk to the bars and clubs. Just be forewarned, coming back is uphill all the way. Not to bad though. No complaints at all. Would stay again.

We came with a group from North Carolina to watch a hockey game and had a blast!
The hotel is located across from the Flying Saucer and Frist Art Center.
A quick walk (read non-drive)from Honkey Tonks and all kinds of entertainment downtown.
Great Staff, breakfasts and shuttle drivers. And great beds too-
