“Great rooms, great view.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Hotel doesn't look great from outside but renovations on the inside are great. Rooms are updated and bathrooms are gorgeous. The beds were a little firmer than I like.Breakfast was a total let down, Mildred the hostess thinks it's her kitchen in her house and was very rude to me, however she was super nice to the men. Also, the indoor pool was in a room that was not heated, the pool itself was heated but getting out was freezing.

Room Tip: Top floor to get best view of the city.

“The hotel sucks and the staff are not friendly”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Do not stay here!!! Not much else to say. Old...old I can deal with, old and dirty I cannot deal with. The photos do it no justice. Looks worse in person. I cannot believe I had to pay $225.00 to stay the night and not even be able to have the kids swim. Pool was closed and the next day they told us we could have gone to a sister hotel close by to swim but the night staff never told us that. Oh yeah, parking...not free. It cost us $25.00 to park. I will never stay there again, they could renovate but the lady at the front desk with her sour attitude will ensure that I won't give them a chance again to get my business.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel

“Worst hotel experience ever.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

I don't even know where to start. I booked this hotel before I read any reviews (a mistake I will NEVER make again.)

Yes, the hotel is under renovation, but that could have been easily overlooked had the staff not been so rude. We stayed one night and the morning of checkout my husband went to check out the continental breakfast. The second he stepped off the elevator (wearing shoes) the woman in charge of the breakfast area yelled at him from down the hall, "If you are coming to breakfast you BETTER be wearing shoes!"

There was no hot water in our room and when we called to ask about the situation we were told (and I quote) "well, I don't know what to tell you"
The people in the room next door were told "you will just have to deal with it" when they complained to the front desk about their non-smoking room smelling strongly of smoke.

Upon check out there was a crowd of people around the front desk with complaints and each customer received the same "I don't care" attitude from the staff. I've never seen anything like it.

Don't fall for the so called "free parking." Each customer was charged 25 dollars per day per room. The man checking out in front of us had his whole family in one vehicle. He reserved more than one room and had nearly 500 dollars in parking fees for just a few nights.

It's a short cab ride to downtown, but please PLEASE do not attempt to walk. It is not a very safe area. We did see one drug deal, we were yelle at by a homeless man, and the hotel is next to the interstate and very loud. I would not recommend staying here alone or with children.

It was over $300 dollars for us to spend one night in this horrible place only to find out by the time we were charged for parking, paid for a cab (since the area was so unsafe and not nearly as close to downtown as they lead us to believe) and paid a "safe fee" for a safe we didn't have we could have stayed at the Hilton which had $25 VALET parking and is actually IN downtown Nashville.

I would highly recommend not staying at this hotel and wish I could give it zero stars.

“Great stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

While this hotel was a little pricier than what I normally go for, it was leaps and bounds nicer than any other place in the area. Room and bathroom were spacious, and had a nice view of downtown. This is no Ritz by any means, but if you are looking for a good clean room that is a stone's throw from downtown (w/o downtown price), go here.

“Rip Off Kings!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

This motel ripped us off for $25..charged us $25 to park on their lot-there was actually no where else to park- they explained it was because of holidays????? NOT!!! We were PAYING customers....STAYING at THEIR motel...and they charge us $25 to park? REally???? I have filed a compalint with the Better Business Bureau of Nashville for this unorthodox practice of ripping off cutomers. Won't be staying at another Days Inn ever!! ALSO....police were called to the motel 3 times that night....naked guy in the elevator....girls fighting in the karoke bar....plus a fight on their rip off parking lot...!!! Yeah....real nice!!

Room Tip: Don't stay here ever!!!! They will charge you to park on their parking lot if its a holiday
