I stayed here for about a week while working at the airport. The hotel itself was nice and has nice staff. The free breakfast is excellent. There's not a whole lot within walking distance. A few chain restaurants and gas stations.

I'd stay here again if working at the airport or needing to catch a flight. They offer the free airport shuttle which is convenient. They will also take you to area businesses.

I was very pleased with the Nashville Airport Holiday Inn Express. I was upgraded to a nicer room due to my Priority Club status. Cosette was welcomed with open arms and we were directed to a local dog park that was on my way out of town. Breakfast great as always...cinnamon rolls....yummm ....will definately stay again.....

Note: Came down to dance at the Wildhorse saloon....very disappointed with that establishment...see my review.

We have stayed at this hotel four times over the last few years. Some stays have been absolutely wonderful and others a few days later (we stay the night before a flight and sometimes the night we fly in before driving home) you would think we were in a different hotel.
Our last stay was July 2011. We arrived about 6 p.m. The hotel was sold out and nearly full already. Our room has a very musty smell--I am allergic to mold and it hit me when we opened the door. I called downstairs and asked to switch rooms and was told none were available but they would send someone up. We propped the door open with our suitcase, turned the air on, and eventually opened the window to air out the place.
It was the night of the All Star baseball game and hubby wanted to stay and watch while he worked on his laptop. No one showed up for two hours so I called again. Someone came up and sprayed something like Febreeze which made the room smell perfumey for about 10 minutes and then back to the mustiness.
The next morning I went to look out the window in my sock feet and the carpet was soaking wet. I don't know if it was coming in from outside or if the a/c unit was leaking, but a large area was saturated. Maybe this was the source of the odor.
Other than the stench our stay was good. We stay at this property over other airport hotels because the shuttle runs 24 hours whereas others do not run to get you to early morning flights.
I will add that a few of the ice machines were out of order and this is typical of prior stays at this hotel.
The breakfast area is big and nicely decorated and they always do a great job of keeping everything full. They offer a lot more than other HI Express at breakfast.
Like I said in the beginning, this hotel has rooms in great condition and others that are somewhat deteriorated with perhaps not so good housekeeping. You stay will vary based on room assignment.

Holiday Inn Express Nashville Airport is clean and that is by far the most important thing to me when it comes to hotels! I stayed here with my dad for one night before leaving Nashville. It is hidden behind a bunch of other hotels and is hard to find, but I am happy we found it as none of the other hotels around it looked nice.

It is a little confusing inside (it is shaped like a square with a courtyard in the middle) and when you first walk in and follow signs for elevators it leads you on a wild goose chase that is far from enjoyable. I walked all the way around looking for an elevator carrying my heavy bags.

The room was very clean. Everything was in pristine condition. Our view wasn't so nice. It was of exhaust fans and other things on a roof of a lower part of the building. The view didn't bother us though and the room was silent and there was no disturbing noise.

It is close to a gas station, Mc Donalds, K-Mart, Sonic, Arby's, and other stores and food places. The hotel has the typical Holiday Inn breakfast, which is edible but nothing fancy.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone flying out of Nashville the next morning, or even to anyone visiting Nashville as it is only a short drive from downtown on the Interstate.
