We rolled into Nashville just before New Years without reservations. Price was reasonable compared to other places we checked, our room was quite large, bed was comfy. It could have been a bit cleaner, but overall okay. Breakfast was good. Front desk staff was helpful.

Country Inn and Suites was surprisingly really great! The last time I was in a Country inn, it was decorated in the "country" style and just felt cheap and cheesy. However, this hotel feels new and has mostly everything I need!

The breakfast is free and good! And they rotate the hot items daily, so if you are staying for more than one night, you don't get sick of the same breakfast each day. They keep the breakfast items well stocked and clear the tables frequently.

The staff is VERY friendly and accomodating!

The beds are very comfortable and there are nice pillows. Flat screen tvs.

They have a lending library in the lobby and coffee/tea/hot chocolate available and cookies around the clock. Also, they have a washer and dryer and workout room.

They have covered parking available under the building, which is pretty tight, but convenient in the winter!

There is considerable road noise, at least on the side of the hotel facing Donelson Pike. It wasn't too bad for me or my family to sleep, but you can certainly hear it.

The worst part is that there is no pool. However, it is a Carlson property, and you can swim at the Radisson property owned by Carlson across the street.

All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back!

My father and I attempted to stay at this hotel in September of 2011. We didnt last long after check in! The first clue that it wasn't going to be an enjoyable stay should have been all the staff outside smoking and the horrible smell of smoke coming off the lady who checked us in. The front desk lady was very friendly though.

The rooms were old and very outdated as was basically everything in the hotel. This was all barely acceptable and did not cause us to leave. What I found next in the bed was what made us get out of there A.S.A.P. The bed had multiple hairs all over it. That is DISGUSTING and UNACCEPTABLE. We got out of there right away with a full refund and an apology.

I would never return. There is a Holiday Inn Express around the block which was 10 times more modern and cleaner and fresher and it was around the same price, if not cheaper.

The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. We also needed assistance in replacing the missing hairdryer. The staff who helped us was very kind and apologetic for the inconvenience of our having to call about it. Our room was to be non-smoking but smelled like it had been smoked in prior to the non-smoking label. The room temperature was controlled by a new conditioning unit that was very quiet. The walls were thin and we could hear the bathroom next door being used as well as outside noise. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and the shower was great! We also liked the toiletries provided. The only thing we didn't like was the ultramodern sink that did not drain very well. There was nothing wrong with it, it was designed that way. Very pretty but not real functional in our opinion. Very comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet was very good with hot food and cold. The best thing is that it was very close to McNamara's Irish Pub and Nosey Flynn! We would return but would hope for a better smelling room.
