“dont plan on a good night sleep”

Well upon entering the room it was a plain but clean room. That wasn't the problem. When we had settled in for the night a dog started barking profusely. This went on for an hour at which time I called front desk at 8:00 and informed front desk there was a problem with a dog barking in one of the other rooms and this had been going on for over and hour. I ask could she move us to another room. She said she didnt have one. Since I had paid for 2 nights I ask her for a refund for atleast 1 night since I was going to have to go somewhere else for sleep. She said she couldnt do that either. I had to talk with the manager at 10 oclock the next day. Rediculous to say the least. We tried for the 45 minutes to see if the dog would stop barking. Nope. We packed up our stuff gave the front desk our keys. at which time she says "Oh i can move u to another room now. She could have called my room and let me know she was trying to work something but she didnt. Forget it no customer service here at this establishment. Never again. one additional thing there is nothing and I mean absolutely nothing to do on that side of Nashville since the May flood.

“Rude front staff and foul-smelling room!”

My sister and I planned to stay at this hotel on our way to Atlanta. We wanted to check out the Christmas lights and exhibits at the OpryLand Hotel. My sister had stayed at Fiddlers Inn once before and thought it was fairly nice and also reasonable. I called the day we left Louisville to make reservations. I specifically inquired about the AAA rate and was quoted the discounted price of each room. Checking into the hotel was not a pleasant experience. When the desk clerk ran my credit card through and gave me the receipts, I realized it did not include the AAA discount. I brought this to her attention and she very bluntly stated "You did not present your card upon check-in." I reluctantly took the keys to the 2 rooms. When we got to the rooms, one had a very unpleasant smell. We went back to the front desk and I told the woman at the desk that we were not satisfied with the accommodations. She said she would cancel the charges to my credit card and by then, I was glad to get out of the place. We went to a nearby Best Western Hotel and the front desk clerk was very helpful. He did not even ask to see my AAA card and gave me the discount. The stay at Best Western was very pleasant and was less than what I would have paid at Fiddlers. In all due respect to the front desk clerk at Fiddler's Inn, she was alone and she was very busy. However, that does not excuse her rude behavior. I really have nothing good to say about this hotel except that it is the closest one to the Opryland Hotel.

“no frills - but does the job”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 August 2010

This was our 3rd year in a row staying at the Fiddlers Inn during the CMA music fest. The hotel is very basic, but it does the job for us. My friend and I are in our late twenties/early thirties. It is VERY clean and allows us to lay our heads for a quiet nights sleep after a long day. There are many attractions, restaurants, and a few bars nearby. For those looking for a basic hotel to shower, sleep, and take advantage of the continental breakfast, this is it. For those looking for luxury, book somewhere else!

“Think twice before booking a room here-not recommended at all.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2010

We stayed at this hotel while attending the CMA Fest in Nashville. The room was booked as part of a package deal and was supposed to have a refrigerator and microwave in it. Neither of those was in the room and we were informed that we did not have a deluxe room although we had paid the same price as other couples traveling with us who did have microwaves and fridges in their rooms. The air conditioning barely kept the room cool and when we inquired about it we were told that the extreme heat was probably draining it. What???? Again, other couples in the same hotel did not have trouble with the air conditioning. The water went from hot to cold continuously in the shower and the beds were falling apart. The maids did not speak or understand English so communicating with them in order to get clean towels or anything else was a frustrating game of "sign language". I would not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nashville unless you want to take a chance on actually getting a comfortable bed, working shower, and decent air conditioning during your stay. I think those things are so basic that you should be able to expect them anywhere you stay. Definitely won't be going back again.
