TripAdvisor has become a sounding board for individuals who threaten small businesses by saying anything they want to. This group of people had been self serving from the beginning. They contact me many months ago to ask about this weekend for a family wedding/reunion. We informed them at that time the weekend was available and if they wanted to reserve the house we would charge them at that time and there would be no refund because they would be reserving all three of our rooms. They chose to make their reservations individually to avoid the no cancellation policy.

When two of the parties made a reservation by phone the end of April for two rooms, we told them it was a two night minimum. They accepted and imediately called another relative to tell them another room was available. (it was not) They apparently went on line to try to make a reservation for one night, however, we had a two night minimum built into the reservation system and their reservation was never accepted. They did not have a confirmation number nor an e-mail confirming their reservation. We only found out about the reservation because we were checking all bookings made for the month of May.

No these people did not stay with us. When I called this family member to explain the situation, she told me she was going to destroy me on TripAdvisor and write a bad review. She told me she would also make sure the other two guests cancelled their reservations. Well she wrote the review, you be the judge. I am sorry this family chose to behave this way, hospitality is not just southern, it is a mindset and a way of life.

It is always a good idea to check to make sure your reservation is confirmed, we look forward to assisting you with yours the next time you come to Nashville.
