I have a lot of experience of B&B's having lived in the United Kingdom for the past 20 years. Daisy Hill is one of the best examples I have ever come accross. The decor is very traditional, the beds are feather as well as the duvets and pillows. (They also had synthetic alternatives). Excellent english bath tub! We were welcomed in a warm and friendly way, shown around our rooms (we reserved the French and Scandanavian rooms) and we were told there were other guests staying in the Scottish room. We were able to relax in the sitting room and watch t.v and there were games and books a plenty to choose from. Our hosts were very friendly. Snacks, hot drinks and water were available as well as a request for help with crochet item! The only reason I did not rate this a 5 is because the breakfast was cold (I would recommend warming the plates in the oven before serving) and we were not offered toast. Small point in what was otherwise an excellent stay. Do not try and drive up the driveway- park at the bottom unless you want to lose your exaust! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS B&B!
