“Good, except for customer service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

This is a clean, decent hotel. The gym is a nice size with modern and durable equipment.

The only thing I can criticize is I received a unsolicited call from the front desk around 9 p.m. asking if there was anything they could do for my stay. Totally inappropriate to call at that time of the night, especially considering I had to wake up at 4 a.m.

If you don't want to be awaken at night this may not be the place for you.

“Very solid stay”

Got a solid deal for this hotel through Priceline. Stayed the last weekend of October 2011. Arrived on a Friday afternoon and it was packed with a few conventions/meetings. It took about 30 minutes to get our room ready for whatever reason. The room was very clean and spacious: two double beds with plenty of space to move around. Not that we needed it but the room had a small balcony that we could have gone out on. I never go to hotel bars, but we ended up back at the hotel that Saturday night and wanted a nightcap. Sure, the prices were a bit higher than a typical bar but normal for a hotel bar. It was a nice touch that they had a couple of wines that are made at a Middle Tennessee winery. They also had Yazoo, which while it's available at many bars it's still a nice touch to be able to order a locally brewed beverage instead of the mass produced light beer.

“Sheraton needs to be upgraded!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

The hotel was listed as a 3.5 Star and it was far from it in my opinion. When we pulled up to the hotel the parking lot was completely dark. There were no lights to see where you were going. I am just glad my husband was with me, or it would have been a very creepy situation for me to experience by myself or with children. The entrance needs an upgrade as well, the marble floors had cracks in them and everything was very out dated. The bed was at least comfortable enought to sleep, but the food was not that good. They do not have a 24 hr dining and there are no other places to eat but at but waffle house if you check in after 10 p.m.

“Overall, very pleased”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

My mother, stepfather, 5 year old niece, and I recently met in Nashville to spend a weekend together. I flew in from Virginia and they drove in from Kentucky. We got my round trip flight and two nights at the Sheraton for $410. So, the Sheraton was about $110 per night and was definitely worth it. It was only 5 minutes from the airport but, because it is set back from the road, it has the feel of being in a mroe isolated area. The lobby is very pretty and welcoming, with a pretty water fountain and secluded computer area (free internet). There is a courtyard where the outdoor pool is. I bet it is very pretty in the spring in summer-there was clearly time dedicated to attractive landscaping, benches etc. The clerks behind the desk are very friendly and helpful and, most of the time, there are additional workers walking around the lobby, prepared to answer any questions or help in any way. There are 2 restaurants and a bar. We had breakfast and lunch at one of the restauants. The service was wonderful-even served us breakfast 5 minutes after breakfast was offically supposed to be over. While the hotel has a sophisticated ambience, it is also kid friendly. The restaurant where we ate has a children's menu and provides crayons and pictures for the kids to color. The indoor pool and the hot tub were clean, large, and working well. The fitness facility is one of the best I have seen in a hotel-free weights, 6 treadmills, 3 eliptical machines, and more-and all of the machines were of high quality. The only two complaints I have (and they are very minor) are:
1-Our room was on the 4th floor and there was no quick way to get to the lobby. We had to walk quite a ways to get on the nearest elevator and then quite a ways to the lobby once we got off of the elevator.

2-They provide a "go green" option for guests that allows you to decline housekeeping for a day and receive a $5 coupon towards one of their restaurants. We chose to utilize this option and decline housekeeping for one day. However, we did not receive the coupon. When we asked about it, we were told that it would be slid under our door, but it was not. However, when we asked about it again, they gave us two $5 off coupons to make up for the confusion.

Overall, I would say that this is a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room relatively close to an elevator.
