My mother, stepfather, 5 year old niece, and I recently met in Nashville to spend a weekend together. I flew in from Virginia and they drove in from Kentucky. We got my round trip flight and two nights at the Sheraton for $410. So, the Sheraton was about $110 per night and was definitely worth it. It was only 5 minutes from the airport but, because it is set back from the road, it has the feel of being in a mroe isolated area. The lobby is very pretty and welcoming, with a pretty water fountain and secluded computer area (free internet). There is a courtyard where the outdoor pool is. I bet it is very pretty in the spring in summer-there was clearly time dedicated to attractive landscaping, benches etc. The clerks behind the desk are very friendly and helpful and, most of the time, there are additional workers walking around the lobby, prepared to answer any questions or help in any way. There are 2 restaurants and a bar. We had breakfast and lunch at one of the restauants. The service was wonderful-even served us breakfast 5 minutes after breakfast was offically supposed to be over. While the hotel has a sophisticated ambience, it is also kid friendly. The restaurant where we ate has a children's menu and provides crayons and pictures for the kids to color. The indoor pool and the hot tub were clean, large, and working well. The fitness facility is one of the best I have seen in a hotel-free weights, 6 treadmills, 3 eliptical machines, and more-and all of the machines were of high quality. The only two complaints I have (and they are very minor) are:
1-Our room was on the 4th floor and there was no quick way to get to the lobby. We had to walk quite a ways to get on the nearest elevator and then quite a ways to the lobby once we got off of the elevator.
2-They provide a "go green" option for guests that allows you to decline housekeeping for a day and receive a $5 coupon towards one of their restaurants. We chose to utilize this option and decline housekeeping for one day. However, we did not receive the coupon. When we asked about it, we were told that it would be slid under our door, but it was not. However, when we asked about it again, they gave us two $5 off coupons to make up for the confusion.
Overall, I would say that this is a great place to stay.
Room Tip: Ask for a room relatively close to an elevator.
