“Clean, quiet and pet friendly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

The upside? It's convenient to shopping, resaurants, bars, etc...several restaurants are next door, yet it is a very quiet hotel. Lots of room to walk the pups outside. The downside? No refrigerators in rooms, and none were available. Also, no gym if you need to work out and the nearest Gold's is 20 miles away. Beds were okay enough, and the hotel staff were always cleaning hotel areas and common rooms. Went to breakfast on Saturday morning at 10:22 a.m. and the door was closed. The "attendant" informed me breakfast was over. I asked what time it was, and he showed me his watch and said 10:35, and he snidely commented I should keep better track of time. The door was closed with about 20 people inside when he did let me in to get coffee and shooed me out. His watch was ten minutes fast and his behavior inappropriate to say the least.

“Well worth it while in Nashville”

Great location for the Grand Old Opry. We found there was a shuttle bus to take us to the performance. Saved us from the confusing and huge parking area. We can not recommend the restaurants close to the hotel but the hotel was nice with helpful staff and good breakfast.

“Very Pleasant Stay”

A friend of mine recommended I stay at the Comfort Inn by Opryland, since I was looking for a hotel at a reasonable price near the Grand Ole Opry. We called the hotel for a reservation, and the man that answered the phone was very polite and informative. They were able to give us excactly what we requested, even ajoing rooms for my family. I was very impressed with the hotel upon arrival, the front desk and house keeping staff were very friendly and even gave us suggestions on activities to do around Nashville. I was very impressed with the up keep at this hotel, the rooms were very clean and the hallways had a fresh scent. Breakfast is the best part of this hotel! I have 2 teenage boys and a girl, along with myself and my husband, it can get real expensive eating out while on vacations, so the free breakfast was a plus. I recommend staying at this hotel, clean rooms, free breakfast, and great location the price is a steal!

“I slept well in a very old hotel.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

First off, I slept well in a comfortable bed. Room was cool. Tv worked. That's about it in this place.
This is a mid 60's- mid 70's building, if not older. It's an old folks home. Wallpaper is old and dirty. Carpets are old. Drop down acoustical ceilings speak for themselves. Bathrooms are old. The worst part; the access to the upper floors nearest the checkin, is a steep fire escape staircase. The guest entrance is a narrow single door pathway to a 35 year old elevator in the middle of the building.
Therefore, if you are on the upper floors, as I was, 3rd, and your key card continues to fail to open your door as mine did 4 times in 14 hrs, bring a lunch or a rappel rope to get it recoded. Simply put, the key card system in this place sucks!
Need your key card to get ice. If it fails, guess what? I reserved a non smoking room. I got a smoking room with an electric air freshener. However, in all fairness, I did get my room $15 cheaper.
Simply put, this is an old place worth $50 a night anyplace else than "OPRYLAND"

“Good value and great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2011

My husband and I took my mom to Nashville and stayed at this hotel. It was very clean and had a fresh scent (but not "fakey" fresh). The front desk staff was very friendly, as was the attendant at the breakfast bar. We like to go to the Ernest Tubb Texas Troubador Theater for the midnight live WSM radio broadcast, and this hotel is very close by. The breakfast buffet had cold cereals, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, yogurt, biscuits and gravy, waffles, toast, muffins, fresh fruit, juices and coffee, definitely enough choices to please us all. The hotel lobby was clean and uncluttered, nothing fancy but we're not fancy people, so this hotel was one that we like and in fact have stayed at before. The first two floors are smoke free. All in all, we will stay there again when we return to Nashville.
