Pros: Price, kitchenette, location.
Cons: Low volume flush toilette, driveway entrance is hard to see.
This hotel provides what it promises--a low cost self-catering facility in a convenient location near the airport. This is why I have rated it 4 stars, not because it is a luxury hotel, which it is not. The first time, on arrival, guests may have problems finding the entrance driveway because it is next to other hotel driveways. Once found, however, this is no longer a problem.
The rooms are a little small but our non-smoking room had a queen bed, fully equipped kitchenette (two stove-top electric burners), full refrigerator, microwave, television, and wi-fi ($4/week). Room service is provided once a week. Laundry facilities are available on site. The room did have the typical hotel room smell of cleaner and disinfectant. Our room was well maintained and did not show signs of aging, mildew, dirt or stains.
The front desk was efficient, welcoming, and helpful--providing us with an additional fork. Check-in and out was fast and efficient.
Although we noticed that some units were noisy, our A/C system was whisper quiet, cycling on and off noiselessly. For us, the only source of noise was an occasional airplane taking off over the hotel. We had no problems with noise from other guests.
The toilet did give us some grief. The hotel uses low volume flush toilets. Generally, we had to flush 2-3 times to get the job done. Of course, this defeated the whole point of conservation but the fault is with the toilet, not the hotel.
The location is convenient to the airport and it is only 10 minutes or so from downtown, provided you don't get lost in the fast moving Nashville traffic. Opryland and Music Valley are only six minutes away.
In summary, this a convenient hotel for a long term stay for those who wish to prepare their own meals. Glood value for money.
