I reserved 4 nights during a music conference (October 12-15). i was never informed that I would have to wash my own towels and bedsheets if I was staying less than 7 days. Returning the first evening around midnight, I found a cockroach crawling from the bathroom floor into a cupboard under the kitchen sink. Of course, the office was closed at 11pm, so I reported the incident the next morning. When I did, and I tried to do it discreetly as there were other registrants in the room, the clerk gave me a apathetic look and said, "I suppose you would like to have your towels replaced." At this time, the manager came out and apologized, stating that she would call the exterminator and I should bring my towels down to be replaced. Iwent back to my room, and purposely set up the wastebasket under the kitchen sink so that it would have to be moved to look there. When I returned later that evening, there was no sign of an extermnator being there (chemical smell not present, wastebasket in position I left it). Thedre is no avaialble security, so noise from other rooms is going on at all hours in the night, and checkout consisted of the clerk outside smoking a cigarette taking my keycard. Only positive factor is that they did not charge me for losing one of my keycards. I have been offered one free night for my experience by the management, but considering the conditions, I will not be returning there again.
